  Our stay at the Rho Hotel was excellent and Made or trip to Amsterdam, The room was excellent size with Tv and comfiest bed ever! Shower room very clean the staff were extremely friendly and the Breakfast was outstanding. Will be staying there Next time in the Summer. Aslo the Hotel allowed us to leave our bags in a locked room after checking ou... what people say » t, so we were free to walk about the rest of the day. - The staff was incredible in helping with anything/everything we needed and asked for. The location is terrific! It is about a 15 minute walk with bags from the central train station and 60 feet from Dam Square. You would expect the area to be noisy but we never heard anything! And it's not a big chain hotel!

  So many nice extra touches, eg. range of toiletries in bathroom including hairbrush and a pillow menu. Big flat screen tv in the room. Lots of channels on tv, eg. BBC, Sky News.   The location was perfect, less than 10 minutes to central station and close to the red light district but not on top of it. The street where the hotel is located is full of restaurants and it is just off of Dam Square, which is great for shopping. - i was very happy to find it so clean and the staff were fantastic!

  Good host who provided useful local information on nearby pubs and cafes. Very close to Central station and tram routes. Flat well sourced with tea/coffee and travel guides/maps. Luckily we were on first floor - good tip to ask for this flat. Able to leave bags in cycle shop next door which was also run by our host. Very good value for centre... what people say » of city. - Great location, very easy to find, very central-just off Dam square and a 5 minute walk from central station. Staff very friendly and very helpful, carried our luggage upstairs. Sorted problem with tv immediately. Happy to store luggage for you before you book in and after you book out. Standard is similar to that of a good youth hostel in the uk.

  We recently stayed 3 nights at the Palace B+B and loved every minute of it! I was only staying for one night en route to Africa, but they were very accommodating in every way. The Garden Room is spacious and comfortable. They thoughtfully provide breakfast in the room so that guests can have it at whatever time is best. Also, the location is excellent--very walkable to many if not most of Amsterdam's major places of interest. One note: the two flights of stairs are steep, so that may be something to consider.
