What makes our stay p - This was a stop part way through our journey across Ireland. We had stayed in some wonderful hotels and were unsure about our stay in an apartment. It was a great choice. Not only was it convenient to Galway city center, but to a delightful area called Upper Salthill. Wonderful pubs and restaurants just around the corner!   The Sunrise Lodge B&B was so fantastic. It exceeded all of our expectations. Paeder and his wife were so wonderful! The room was cozy and extremely comfortable. The powerful shower was especially wonderful after traveling for close to 36 hours. Paeder really made it wonderful. He even looked up directions and drew us a map to - The service, facilities and breakfast were marvellous and the location on Galway Bay and walking distance to Galway City shops and restaurants was perfect. I mistakenly left an item of clothing in the cupboard and the proprietors were kind enough to parcel it up and post it at their expense (which I could not in all fairness accept) speedily to us in Australia.

The room was comfortable, light and homely with a view of the lovely garden. It's on the outskirts of Galway so access to both the city and the mountains is really straight forward. I'd definitely go back.

The front desk staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, the whole facility was very clean and nice, perfect for a long stay with a large eating area, large kitchen and public lounge areas. I didn't know you could get a private room at a hostel but it was perfec - They Kinlay was excellent! I've stayed at many hostels, and this was tops. It was clean, easy to move around in, centrally located to much of the sights of Galway, and easily put us in touch with a great free walking tour of Galway. Facilities were clean. Printing is free. Breakfast is decent - cereal, toast, or museli, with coffee and tea. Hot water just fine. Either bathroom connected to your room or large shared bathroom. Maria and Norbert are nice and helpful.

  Theresa was very welcoming. The rooms were clean and warm. The breakfast was lovely. Theresa cooked an early breakfast on our last day, we had an early start to meet Dublin flights. We are two girlfriends travelling and felt very safe. Breakfast was delicious...we actually booked because of the other comments on the pancakes and they did not disappoint . The salmon and eggs were divine as well. Great choice.

They were always concerned and even put a note on our door reminding us of the change of the hour. I will recommend this B&B and surely be back again.
