The Salt Hill Location itself is nice village, with a variety of restaurants. We tried Black Cat which was great for lunch but service a little slow during dinner. The fish and chips shop is great too for takeaways. I pick up my morning coffee from Gourmet Tart Company next door (they open at 7:30am). Jameson court is located in the center of it all. It is about avoid 25-30 mins walk to Galway downtown. But taxi stand is just right on the doorstep if you are not up for it. What makes our stay p.
all reviews » This was a stop part way through our journey across Ireland. We had stayed in some wonderful hotels and were unsure about our stay in an apartment. It was a great choice. Not only was it convenient to Galway city center, but to a delightful area called Upper Salthill. Wonderful pubs and restaurants just around the corner! Catch the 401 bus into the city center and for a few pennies you don't have to worry about parking. Jonathan was extremely helpful and patient with our questions and accomodat. The apartments were very spacious and modern, with lovely sea views. It was very well equipped with all mod cons,from iron to dish washer and washing machine. Large fridge freezer was great. Location was perfect opposite the beach and a nice walk along the coast into Galway. The staff were very welcoming and friendly. The little things like DVD and games to borrow was fab for the kids. We loved our stay in Galway and would definitely be recommending the apartments to friends and family. The location is fantastic, right across from the beautiful beach. Lovely views of the sea and prom. It's very safe with access code to gain entry to the apartments and car park. City centre is just 15 mins walk and bus stop is only around the corner. Apartment has everything you can think of and the milk, biscuits, tea and coffee was a lovely touch and well needed after a long drive. Elaine & Jonathan were so nice and welcoming with lots of advice on where to go, eat and drink. Would defi. The apartment and location were flawless! The apartment was well-equipped with everything you need, and the location is extremely convenient since there were numerous food options around. We love the sea view from our apartment as well. Elaine was an awesome host who gave great suggestions for day tours and restaurants nearby. It was an extremely enjoyable stay!. Jonathon and Elaine were exceptional hosts. This place is very well run. Was so impressed with the service as well as the quality of the apartment facilities. Salthill is a good location to get away from the hustle and bustle of Galway. Just a few minutes up the road. This was our last stop on two week tour and Jonathon and Elaine made it so easy! Thanks!. We liked everything about the apartments - from the moment you arrive in the secure underground parking, meeting Caitriona who was a wealth of local information, to the lift to the apartment which was spacious, very comfortable, well decorated, modern and ideally located. We will definitely return to the apartments and we can highly recommend them. The Jameson Court Appartments were fab, spotless towels provided and tea ,milk provided .We were a group of 11 .Everyone was impressed . would Stay again And return with there young families . . The staff were lovely very accommodating , friendly .The location is perfect 20 min walk from the city centre . We had some really very nice days in this beautiful part of beautiful Ireland. A great terrace, a small view of the sea, a well-equipped kitchen, comfortable beds, a reasonable well-organised maintenance (with an exception for the bathroom) and the shops next door made our stay enjoyable. When we arrived we were sorry that we hadn't booked the apartment for a week. It had just anything we needed and much more (: Our two teenagers also loved the place. We were so sorry when we had to leave . I recommend staying in the apartment for at least 3 nights. everything just worked for us,we have 17 yr old twins, they loved the space,the close proximity to Galway town center.these apartments allowed great family space that in a hotel at end of evening we would have lost.would definently be returning. These apartments are fantastic we had a two bedroom apt for the five of us ad there was plenty of room the apt has everything you could need for a few days stay or a few weeks is only a few minutes from the city centre and great for children. Staff were very friendly and helpful, the apartment was nice and the kitchen had everything that was needed to cook a meal. The car park was secure as were the apartments. And although we had recieved a phone call checking in with us, we were unaware because we were not using our phone internationally so it had been shut off. Landmarks would have been helpful in finding this apartment. The car park is directly behind the Aquarium and the front location is tucked away by the bank on the main street. Loved everything - no negatives. Didn't want to leave!!. Flawless. It was hard to leave the apartment. nothing. That we didn't stay longer!. Unfortunately the bathroom was not in order. Because of broken heating and broken shower, we could not have a shower the 2 first days. What a pity in a so nice apartment!. The fact we had to leave the place. The duvets on the bed were very thick and a bit too warm for the time of the year, a top sheet and throw would have been welcome. A bit expensive if only 2 people. View from window was blocked my aquarium, but this is a minor complaint. Nothing. All good. The lift was quite noisy and the voice telling u what floor you were on was very loud. You could hear it in the apartment. You gotta fix the pump on the water tank. It was way too noisy and kept pulsing for ages after the slightest of running of water. We liked it very much. This is a suggestion not a complaint Some light block-out blinds would be of benefit. The cobwebs on the ceilings. Nothing. Lounge chairs in awkward position to watch tv. It's a little bit unconvinient to find the entrance. Wi-Fi Connection could be stronger but thats a very minor issue. Having to Leave. All great, no dislikes. No complaints whatsoever. That we had to go back home after our stay. nothing..... It was all good.
