I stayed at the Conrad Dublin a few weeks back and it was absolutely wonderful. Great location near St. Stephen's Green and close to some great restaurants. The staff at the Conrad are very helpful and friendly. The food at the restaurants was great and the service both there and at the bar was top-notch. I would highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting Dublin. - Clotilde

My wife and I stayed at the Dublin Hotel recently for her 30th Birthday celebration. I must congratulate the hotel on excellent customer service. I emailed ahead of our intended stay to ensure that we would be able to check in early as we had a very early flight over from the uk. I wanted to create a small surprise for my wife so I arranged for a bottle of wine to be placed in the room for her, they also added a complimentary fruit plate. We stayed here for 3 nights and this was our first visit to Dublin. The location is good. The staff were very friendly and nothing was too much trouble, very welcoming. The room was of a very high standard, lovely bathroom, very comfortable bed too, nicely decorated. Breakfast was very good, something for everyone. We couldn't fault this hotel and would stay here again. Definitely deserves higher star rating. - Kate

A group of 15 stayed in this hotel for 3 nights over the marathon weekend. Got the Aircoach to O'Connell Street which is just round the corner and only 10 Euros! The check-in was quick and easy. The rooms were clean and spacious. The buffet breakfast was outstanding (piping hot food, cereals, breads, pastries, fruit juices) Temple Bar was only a 10 minute walk away! An excellent value for Dublin. The dining room was lovely and elegant, the service was friendly and efficient. Rooms were pleasant, and roomy enough. Our window opened onto the street, but we experienced no problems with noise at all. Even with the unseasonably warm weather, the room was comfortable and airy. I slept better in the bed there than I do at home! The friendliness of the staff made our stay very enjoyable. The location was perfect our purposes: most things were within easy walkin - Linda

1st time visit to Dublin made more enjoyable by this centraly located great value budget hotel. Good restuarant, very helpful staff. Only recommendation for those travelling with a rental car..contact hotel for good directions to find parking building. Once located its extremely handy but easy to miss if not familiar with city. Great location if travelling on ferries as 5 mins from terminals. - Michael

We stayed at the apartment and were amazed to find the high quality of the decor and furnishings, there were even two balconies to enjoy the views of the cathedral (to the right of the apartment) and of Dublin city. There's a main road outside, but apart from the odd siren it was pretty quiet and within walking distance of Grafton st, St. Stephens Green and Temple Bar. While we were visiting Dublin there was a People's Art exhibition along the railings of St. Stephen's Green which was excell - Brendan

Expected the worst, however, found it not bad at all. Check-in was fine, no complaints. Room was ok, could have done with a lick of paint. Bathroom looked like new and was clean. Parking the car is around the back and is in a locked garage. Spaces are limited and you have to leave your keys at reception as you will more than likely be blocking another car in. Check out is at 11am, but we were allowed to leave the car parked in the gargage until lunchtime which was a great bonus and saved us mone - David

We stayed here last week, it’s basic yet nice. The best asset is that it is beside everything, walking distance from everywhere. We had great fun with the staff, they are really nice. The rooms are basic but very clean. The breakfast is great. It’s the perfect location for a group of friends having a trip or night out in Dublin, it suited us. We didn't expect it to be 5 star standards so I wouldn’t review it too harshly. We would defiantly stay there again. - Amanda

Having had stayed in other budget B&Bs on Lower Gardner Street, we knew the neighborhood was inexpensive and often noisy. We like the area because of it's location. O'Connell Street; near Abbey, Peacock and Theatres; walking distance to Trinity College and the Temple Bar. But this year we were pleasantly surprised. For three nights at the Glen Guesthouse, we had a small queen-size ensuite in a new elevator building in the rear. My purse had been stolen before our arrival and the receptionist - Victoria

I've stayed at Staunton's three times now, and every time has been great! It's one of the few affordable hotels/B&Bs in the centre of Dublin, and it's more than worth the price. The staff are wonderful, friendly, and really go out of their way for you. This last time, we arrived at the ungodly hour of 5:15 am, and as soon as we arrived at Staunton's, a lovely man named Bryan made us comfortable with a pot of tea, some toast and a cheerful welcome.
