    8 of us enjoyed our stay on 31st Jan at the Gresham. We arrived at the hotel at 8.30 a.m. and were able to book in and go to our rooms. This was a complete surprise as we were not expecting to do this until later in the day. Also, all 4 rooms were upgraded FOC. The room was very pleasant and had everything you needed.     My friend and I arrived at around 10.20am, we were soaking wet from the morning downpour and there was a twin room ready, they checked us in straight away. The bar was lovely, great service and reasonably priced, tasty food. We went to Dublin for a concert, if we had to go again, we would def stay at the Mount Herbert Hotel again. The room is very comfortable, bathroom is huge, it has a wide flatscreen, coffe/tea making facilities, and large windows facing west. We never used any transport except of tour buses - evetything is a short wack far (quays, Temple bar, the Trinity college).     Easily found at the top of OConnell and a little to the right, right above Fibber McGees. Couldnt have got better location for the money spent. Very clean room, dont be fooled by the old exterior, the rooms are modern, clean, and the breakfast is worth the early wakeup call. No hassle leaving our suitcase after midday checkout so we could get some shopping in before our 4 - I am very happy I stayed at the Gate Hotel, the service is wonderful, the location could not be better, I was treated with attention. It was my first time in Dublin and they explained to me how to reach to places, gave me full guidance and even helped me get the best spots for shopping. There is also an area downstairs that connects with local pubs that is very nice and you can hear live music or chill and have a beer in other pubs without having to move out of the hotel. I fully recommend it;

Prior to my arrival I emailed the front desk about transportation from the airport -- they emailed me back immediately with the bus to take, where it drops me off, and how to get to the hotel from there. Upon checkout, I was able to leave my bags at the front desk and they provided me with a taxi to the bus station. The room was quite and very clean and breakfast enjoyable, you received a discount if booking breakfast when you arrive. Lifts available so you don't need to carry bags. We got a very good last minute deal for the night. There is a pub bar/food connected to hotel.The hotel has entertainment shows on weekends. The hotel is very closely located to entertainment, food, sight seeing attractions.

    The hotel is in a great location, minutes walk from all the main city centre areas. We had a huge and very comfortable double bed which was great. Staff were extremely friendly and helpul. We were there with a 5 month old baby, who at times made a bit of a racket, however the staff were great with her and made a big fuss of her. I'll be staying again. - The bed has to have been one of the most comfortable I have ever slept in! It really was great. Staff were very pleasant. Location was also brilliant. Oh yes, one other thing - there was a lovely little ceramic teapot in the room, a lovely change from having a tea-bag in a cup and I appreciated this very much!

    I have stayed in a lot of hotels all around the world, but the staff in this hotel were easily the most professional and friendly that I have encountered. You will realise this from the moment you begin to check in. - The extremly helpful reception girl named Catherine. Excellent service.
