Amazing hostess, very friendly and helpful! She had tons of good tour tips for us that made a perfect day in Connemara, gave us a lift to the city, even washed my clothes while we were away!! (Was a bit too ashamed by the chaos we left in the room to thank her - so if you read this: thank you!) Very cozy place with open fire, amazing breakfast (best ham ever). all reviews » The landlady, Bernie, was very friendly and helpful. Her suggestions about places to visit made our holiday all the more special. She was very attentive. She makes a tasty breakfast, try the pancakes. The room was comfortable, light and homely with a view of the lovely garden. It's on the outskirts of Galway so access to both the city and the mountains is really straight forward. I'd definitely go back. We liked the very warm welcoming we were given and the friendliness was there for the rest of our stay. The lady was cheerful and helpfull, nice to talk to, and the room was comfortable, and we particularly enjoyed having the nice gesture of having a small little bouquet of lavender and some biscuits on the pillows!. the owner was unbelievable helpful, e.g. defrosted everyones cars in the morning. there was a wonderful welcoming fire and refreshments to partake in if one wanted, if not refreshments to your room. hot water, electric blanket on, breakfast as you wanted it. The welcome was incredible with tea or coffee and biscuits, the room was big and the bed as well. Everything was clean. The area is very quite. Very nice breakfast, after that you can easily skip lunch! The bathroom in our room was small but nice and clean. The shower had some problems but nothing impossible to handle. There was a little bit of paint smell in our room, but still nothing to worry about. Our room was a bit small and bathroom needed renovation, but it was not very critical due to things we liked. Common bathroom. Had to ensure timing didn't clash with other guests. none. Nothing.. everything was fine!. I liked everything. Bathroom a little dated but clean and functional. Albeit lovely, the accommodation was a little dated. But we're still planning to return.. That there aren't as many places like this that make you feel welcome. nothing. Bathroom was small and rooms were very cold. Location was to far from downtown and other conveniences.
