Very helpful and competent staff, nice bar facilities downstairs, great location !

Small room and bed against the wall in double room with "queen size bed" - o.k. for us but not really recommendable for longer stays or older couples.

I had a very pleasant stay at Hotel Am Rothenbaum. The hotel is in an attractive neighborhood and right opposite the Hallerstrasse subway station, which is one stop from the Dammtor regional train station (much nicer than the Hauptbahnhof main station in Hamburg). One can easily walk to Dammtor. The hotel is modern, clean and comfortable. My single-bed room was small but very attractive and cosy with a small balcony and an open view. All is smartly done. The breakfast, for an extra fee of 10 Euros, was delicious and worth the expense. The staff is very friendly and helpful. I highly recommend this hotel.

Small friendly hotel, with great breakfast. Staff very helpful. Near to metro and various eating places. Plus you have the wine bar in the hotel which is very nice.

If you don't like traffic then you need to ask for a room at the back.

100% friendly and helpful staff. The location is the best - close to the metro station, a supermarket, multiple cafes and restaurants around. Wi Fi working fast and really everywhere at the hotel. A complimentary glass of wine upon arrival was a nice surprise.

The walls are not really thick so for those who is easy to wake up because of the slightest sound in the corridor this hotel would not be the best option.

It felt very relaxing and nice to stay at the hotel. The staff was friendly. I didn´t try the food, perhaps next time I will. But I can certainly recommend it to anyone:) And I loved the "lightshow" in the shower:)
