  A the end of a long journey being met by Christophe and ushered to the lovely swimming pool to cool off was wonderful. The chateau was beautiful in large gardens which were child friendly and boisterous boys were not curtailed in noisy and extensive games of hide and seek. We were able to truly relax as the children were off exploring while we ate b - We were only booked in overnight on our way to Calais from Carcassonne. We arrived after a 7 hour drive so a dip in the outdoor heated pool was a welcome and rejuvenating experience. The house is very romantic and charming and set in its own grounds so it is perfectly child friendly. Our hosts were extremely friendly and spoke perfect English.   Very charming chateau outside of Onzain. The chateau keepers could not have been kinder or more accommodating. Our French was not strong at all, and they very kindly helped translate a menu for us at a very nice restaurant they recommended in the neighboring town to celebrate our anniversary. They also called the restaurant to make the reservation... what people say » for us. They spoke fluent English which was incredibly helpful. The view from our 2nd floor room was truly spectacular! And the breakfast they offere - I loved the Hotel. Very nice staff and very relaxing place conveniently located next to the most famous Loire Castles. I will go back. A great find! The Loire castles are beautiful and visiting them is a pleasure. I stayed 3 days but I could have stayed a week. So much to see. Do not forget to visit the caves and do some wine tasting.

We also very much enjoyed the quietness of the place a bit remote from the road, that was extremely nice. The bedroom was large and clean, and the small terrass by the pool was great. It was a quiet, beautiful retreat from the business of traveling. We would love to go back and stay longer!

  The owner is really nice and welcomes you to the Château. He also has brochures and info of all the châteaux you can visit in the area. The room was very big and had a dressing room as well. We enjoyed dinner at the château prepared by the owner. It was very classy and delicious. The service was excellent, very warm people.
