  Amazing place to stay. Located on the river bank. Greeted on arrival by the owner which the chateau has been in his family for a very long time if not original owners. The chateau is very big with many living rooms filled with antiques family photo's and the Dining room were breakfast is served the wall are painted with original murals from hundre... what people say » ds of years ago. Our room was very comfortable just beautiful. The garden surrounding the chateau are very picturesque. The staff are very lovely and - The location is ideal for visiting the Chateau at Chambord. This is a really unique experience and an opportunity to stay in a Chateau. The rooms are of an older period but quite charming. The hosts Patrick and his wife Ileana were both friendly and helpful with local information. The breakfast in a period dining room with painted panels was special.

  The buffet breakfast is very nice and with a large selection of fresh food. The family room was quite spacious and the bunk beds for the kids large and secure (the top bed has a very high fence). It's a very short walk to the Zoo, but the park is still secluded and closed (so great to have your kids roam around freely). Plus small kids are free - Beautiful hotel and family rooms well designed and carefully thought out. The childrens bunk beds were in a separate area, behind a closed door, but within our room, brilliant! Large comfortable beds, lovely warm showers, good sized pool, fabulous buffet evening meal and breakfast. Great location for the wonderful beaval zoo.

  Superb cuisine but the prices were very high indeed. You would need to know it is expensive in advance, but it was delicious. Interesting building in a provincial setting - comfortable restful bedroom, but dated bathroom. Breakfast was an additional expense. Staff pleasant. - Friendly staff.

  This is a magical place! I can't say enough good things about Chateau de Rere and it's gracious hosts. They made us feel like close friends staying at their beautiful home,anticipating and taking care of all our needs and desires. We stayed at the Georges Pompidou suit and loved it. You can tell that a lot of love has been put int - The castle is located in the middle of a vast forest. The place is very quiet. Our room was very comfortable with a very large window directly overlooking the forest. We were warmly welcomed by the owner. He told us a very good restaurant for dinner. We crossed a deer on the way back through the forest. The breakfast was excellent. In the morning, the owner gave us a tour of the castle of his family and plunged us into the history of France. We enjoyed the Gresse couple hospitality and the spacious and tastefully decorated suite. The place is ideal for families: the suite accommodates a family of five comfortably and the yard is full of fun. The Gresse kids are very friendly and were eager to show my kids all the animals: swans & ducks in the moat, chickens & rabbits in the yard, and then climbed with them to the tree house and picked apples right from the tree.   Beautiful property and grounds. Fantastic pool, if a little chilly and the pool area is so relaxing with lots of sun loungers, tables and chairs and lovely pool bar. Lots to do with lake, putting hole, games barn with table tennis and gym and bikes to use, croquet, skittes. Bread/Cake shop and small grocerie shop a mile away and good restauran... what people say » t 5 - 15 mins away. Very lovely owners with great taste and attention to detail and everything so clean and well kept. - Beautiful location, specially the swimming pool. Great hospitality from the owners.   Chateau La Touche was one of the most attractive places we stayed on our recent trip to France. It is located in the countryside in the small village of Cormeray. Although its location is rural, it is close the historic city of Blois and close to several of the most lovely chateaus in the Loire Valley: Chambord, Cheverny, and Chaumont. The house/chateau is old, but comfortable, and tastefully decorated with the 19th c. furnishings appropriate - La Touche is brilliantly located for a cycling holiday of the Loire, with 4 Chateaux within easy reach. Louis and Serge are wonderful hosts who do everything they can to make their guests welcome. The pool is lovely and warm and the pool room a great place to relax. We loved our stay.
