  The hotel is really good location to walk from as a base. The area was good. Whilst the hotel is not on the prettiest street, it's only a couple of streets away from lots of good restaurants, shops and cafés and is literally at the exit to the station. You cannot get lost. Because it's so central, there are always people wandering around too, so y... what people say » ou feel safe. The room was great. The decor especially. It's all floral and matchy with the bedspread. The bathroom was tiny but new and clean with a - Fantastic location within easy walking distance to the Pompidou, Louvre, Notre Dame and all the restaurants and bars in the Latin Quarter. I was on my own, going out every night and felt perfectly safe walking the streets back late. The hotel is surrounded by cafes and bars perfect for breakfast or dinner if you werent up for straying too far after a full day of exploring the city. The staff were lovely even the poor night staff who had to come down from reception late every night to let me in.

  The location of the hotel was superb and very easy for those travelling by train from Charles De Gaulle airport as we got to St. Michel and just across the road was Rue De La Huchence and our hotel. Contrary to expectations it was very quiet at night and the restaurant was an added bonus in the evening. Most of the staff were friendly and helpful.... what people say » The Wifi was excellent and we had a great stay. The area around the hotel was car free with lots of interesting little shops and the nearness to Notr - The area this hotel is in excellent, and close to the metro (1 minute away). The staff are pleasant to deal with and very helpful. The rooms could use some updating, the furnishings were older but the beds were in good condition and clean. The bathrooms had the most upgrading, but our shower in the twin room was missing a hook for the shower head so we had to tie the shower head to the pipe in order to have a hands-free shower. The water pressure was good. The free use of computer in the lobby

The staff is really helpful and correct, they all try to do their best for you and your family (call for the transfer, e.g.). The hotel is in the center of Paris: ten blocks away from Ile de la cité, Notre Dame, the Louvre; very close to Rue St Denis, Rue Montorgueil and Rue St Martin (which are very lively at night and not dangerous at all), close to museums and churches, and accessible to any train station or metro station.   I could not fault this hotel. It was great value for Paris. It's not luxury, but it had everything I needed. The water was always hot. The room was well heated. Everything was spotlessly clean.   This was a wonderful hotel, convenient location, for our family and our recent visit to Paris. It is a small hotel and unassuming. It is not for people looking for a luxurious facility, but it was clean and the room was rather large (see below) and we enjoyed our stay and would happily return. While dropping off our luggage and making plans for our day, our room - I loved this little hotel! It is in a fantastic convenient location. The rooms were clean and very comfortable, and the staff was extremely accommodating. It will be my hotel of choice next time I'm in Paris (in fact, I almost hesitate to give it such a good review in fear that I will find it booked when I'm next looking to go!). Very much looking forward to returning. Thank you!

There are a number of bars, cafes, restaurants within walking distance and the location is also close to public transport. I was amused reading the reviews that criticised the size of the beds, bathrooms, and rooms overall-- this is a typical small Parisian hotel ... what people say » and everything was as expected and I'd return. - There was road works going on out side, but with the double glazed windows you could not hear it at all. When I found Hotel Bellan in one of the areas he suggested, it seemed like a perfect fit. The price sounded good, the photos looked nice, and the reviews were pretty good.
