We stayed 6 nights in this hotel at the end of april. Location is perfect near Saint Germain church and cafe "Deux Magots". We had a deluxe room at the back of the hotel.The whole hotel was well maintained and very clean.We used their computer each day to check our emails for free of charge. If you travel with your computer the wifi is free as well.The front desk was very nice with us and very helpful with good sense of humour.We will recommend this hotel for travellers who like the - Stephen

We picked this hotel after reading mixed reviews here and were so pleased with everything! It was very easy to find and the location itself is incredible! It's a stone's throw from Saint Germain des pres and the Metro and less than a 10 minute walk to the Seine. The staff were very friendly and spoke English well. Our room was a triple on the lowest floor and overlooked the street which was noisy late at night on the weekend, but closing the window shut out most of it. It was large for Paris a - Lynsey

the good: the hotel is in a great location and a metro stop is literally just steps away. the area is in a less visited area, and sits off on a side street so the noise and busy-ness isn't that bad. the room was clean and cute. the bathroom was spacious and clean as well. very walkable to all the sites, or if you choose, the aforementioned metro is convenient. lots of retailers, restaurants, etc. in the area. a grocery store is just around the corner (for cheaper wine and snacks). just ask the - Philip

Granted it's almost a year since I visited the Bel-Ami, but I stayed here two years in a row--Dec 2007 and 2008--on one-week trips to Paris with my parents (who are in their late 60s/early 70s). If you want to be in St. Germain, the location of this friendly, stylish hotel can't be beat. Quaint side street just around the corner from the church and Les Deux Magots. This is a comfortable hotel in a nice area of Paris. We felt very safe and it was easy to get around with the St Placide and Montparnasse stations so close. There is a charming patisserie across the street that serves a nice breakfast. The staff at the hotel speak English and the room was very clean. There is not much traffic at night on the street below but the hotel was very quiet otherwise. - Simon

We stayed at the Hotel des Marronniers from July 6-8, 2008. The hotel is just 2 blocks from St. Germain des Pres cathedral, and is located on a quiet street but actually in a very vibrant area of Paris. I reviewed literally tons of hotels online trying to discern what would be good and what not, and we were a bit concerned choosing a hotel that was not a major corporate place, but we absolutely loved it. Great boutique hotel. Quiet street within walking distance of The Louvre, D'Orsey, Champs D'Elisse, etc. Loved the toile wallpaper and continental breakfast. Wouldn't stay anywhere else. Great value in Paris! - Skirmante

My friend and I selected the Millesime Hotel after much online research and we were very pleased with our choice. The hotel was charming, the room was very clean and attractively decorated. The bathroom was spacious with tub and shower. (Loved the make-up mirror in the bathroom!) The hotel staff was very helpful with requests for day trip information, train and metro connections. I was able to use the computer in the lobby each day for the internet/email. I would highly recommend this hotel and - Emilie

This was my 2nd stay at the Artus Hotel and I would never stay anywhere else while in Paris. The first trip was with my husband and this trip was with my sister (leaving husbands and children at home). We booked the Junior Suite and loved our spacious room and the gorgeous view from our balcony. Sanjay is an absolute treasure. The location of the hotel is central and our junior suit was beautiful with stylish romantic decoration and a nice jacuzi in the bathroom. The staff was friendly and always helpful. If you want a romantic stay in Paris then this hotel is the place, - Gisle

Hotel de Buci is a charming typical left bank hotel. The location is fabulous - just off the Blvd St. Germain and a block and a half from the Seine. The hotel is a bit quirky - sloping hallways, some "American" baths, some traditional WCs, a few rooms where the window is superfluous as it overlooks an airshaft - but it's charming nonethless. On a trip to Paris in April, I upgraded to this hotel from another (two-star) hotel owned by the same property group. I loved my room at the Hotel de Seine, the bathroom was huge by Paris standards and the hotel staff were friendly, spoke awesome English, and all were very helpful. My room was cleaned daily and was kept very clean, the bathroom has a hairdryer and the little elevator is convenient especially when you have luggage.
