  The location in the centre of Rovinj is excellent - adjacent to the port and exactly what we wanted. Lots of activity there and great views. The staff are extremely helpful and the food in the hotel restaurant was first class. - Perfect location overlooking the harbor. Sea view rooms are superior.

  The location of Villa Squero was perfect. The first 2 nights we stayed in the attic room where we were happy except for the bonking of our heads on the angled ceiling. The view is incredible, looking back at Rovinj and watching the boats come and go. The second 2 nights were with a balcony on the floor below. We dearly loved the room and sitti... what people say » ng on the balcony where we were witness to a lightning storm with water spouts. Very exciting. The breakfast was the best so far in our trip: 2 kinds - We just loved everything. From the location to the fantastic breakfast on the terrace to the most beautiful room with a balcony overlooking the sea. Also, the little touches, like the bottle of sparkling water in the fridge and a gateau to nibble each evening on our return. The hotel is so good for both the old town of Rovinj and also for the wonderful coast line, which we could explore on the free bikes which we got from the hotel.   Romatic atmosphere, beautiful pools with romantic bridges, rooms with heigh ceilings ( rooms are no chicken cages as in some other hotels ), quietness of the island after visiting Rovinj or other towns in region, eating on terras is possible near the pool. One of the 2 pools is good for young children ( not to deep ) There is also a jacuzzi but it... what people say » 's not heated. There are beaches on the island. ( not sand but with small rocks ) Possibilites for sport, table tennis, midget golf, volleybal, water - Fantastic location - getting the boat to and from the mainland wasn't a problem as it was always punctual and the crew were helpful and polite. Really beautiful hotel - extremely clean and kept very well. The views of the old town are incredible. Staff - all were helpful, polite and spoke excellent English. Value for money - it is hard to believe that this is only a 2* hotel as facilities, pool, room etc were all of a high standard
