  This hotel is playing in a higher class (but also higher price range). You will notice their professional approach in a lot of aspects. We booked the superior room and had a magnificent view on Kvarner Bay. We were happy to have this room, the others looked more basic (and not having a balcony). The hotel has an old building and a new building. Ou... what people say » r room was in the new building and thus recent; the room and bathroom were perfect, also the bed is a real dream. The swimming pool is also very nice, - Excellent service, friendly staff, great brakfast, fantastic view over Kvarner bay, best gnocci with truffles ever eaten, bus shuttle service to town, excellent air condition in superior room (important in summer for those who prefer absolute quietness at night with windows and balcony doors closed), room design chic, superb mattresses.

  The hotel is obviously old (as almost any hotel in Opatija) but I liked the way they tried to keep it clean and pleasant for tourists. The rooms are big enough, staff really friendly. The view from the balcony is great. 10 min walk to the very center. It is located a bit further than other hotels and just a bit away from the road which is good. We were upgraded into G H Adriatic I. Breakfast was excellent, hot and cold with an outstanding selection. We were so impressed we stayed on for an additional two days on a half board basis which at 72 Euro was outstanding value. No hesitation in recommending this hotel.
