  We booked studio apartment but got the big 2 bed apt as it was free and the host was so kind to offer us a free upgrade ;) Apt was really nice with lovely sitting room/kitchen area, in the center of Old Town. The location was perfect, charming and unforgettable, few steps away from the main square but very quiet. Steps could be difficult for older folk, however the owner was there to help with our cases. The room and facilities were clean and inviting and added to our stay in Dubrovnik. The owner looked after us well and nothing was too much trouble.

  The best thing of all, and I think a little known secret is the rooftop terrace overlooking Dubrovnik. My husband and I would go up there at the end of 2 hot and sweaty days, and it was the perfect place to watch the sun set and the swallows swoop over that beautiful ancient city.   The staff were extremely helpful right from the beginning, from giving directions to certain attractions, booking taxis, to recommending restaurants. Everything they helped us with was brilliant, the restaurant the receptionist recommended was the best meal we ate all week, and not too expensive either - but still very romantic! There was a small kitchenette area outside our room which was a nice surprise as we hadn't realised this when we booked, so it was possible for u - It's a great location just of the Stradun, really easy to get around to the cable car, the walls, restaurants etc. **Tip** Take a backpack and not suitcases, there are a LOT of steps in Dubrovnik old town and carrying a suitcase up and down them is a bit of a pain. don't let that put you off staying in the old town though, it's romantic and beautiful.   It is elegant but also very friendly and comfortable. The situation in the old town is full of character and the staff could not have been more helpful. I was on a winter break with my husband and I would recommend it highly.   Location was excellent! Right in the Old City on the port. Walking distance from everything in the Old City and the surrounding areas. Very short bus/taxi ride away from the main bus station. The owners were very friendly and helpful! They lent me an umbrella and a hairdryer without hesitation. Close to the Pile Gate, so perfect for exploring the Old Town, and also the drop off for the airport shuttle bus (though not on the way back - the return shuttle leaves from the Cable car bus stop).
