  Good location family run guest house. If you do not want to hear street noises ask for a room at the back. I would not recommend that you take the breakfast as it is not in the same block, it does not open till 10 or 10.30am and it is not worth the value for the money you pay - Euro 4.for a coffee and a toast. Excellent location right in city centre walking distance to sights or metro 2minute walk away. Rooms clean with great air con and fridge. Great laundrette just down road and plenty of bars and restaurants. Would definately stay here next time we are in Madrid

  The location of the hotel - I was travelling with a suitcase and the hotel is literally just around the corner from a metro stop. The staff were very helpful - very centrally located for main attractions. - Amazing location, friendly staff who provided any assistance required regarding directions etc. Basic but comfortable room.

  Everything was great: the staff was very friendly and helpful (even they didn't spoke English), our chamber was very clean and it had even a little fireplace, which was very nice. - excellent location - near to metro, convenient for airport, many eating opportunities nearby.

  Very good located. Near of public transportation (Callao metro station). Near to the moust important sightseeings. On the oposit side is a supermarket on the underground level from a shopping mall (you can find here glutenfree products too) and nearby a lot of little restaurants.   I liked that this hostel is located straight in the very heart of Madrid, it is not very expensive, the scinery out of the window is very beautifull on the buildings of the city, personally I like it. The rooms are cleaned every day, the stuff is very friendly .There is a central heating and it was warm in february. You can buy water inside.   Everything was perfect! Staff were extremely friendly, location is great! Despite the fact that people wrote that breakfast was served in a cafe near the hostel, in reality, I got it at the hostel near the reception desk. They even arranged a shuttle to the airport for us for 9 Euro each. Breakfast was included (but I never made it), the room was cute, clean, and comfortable.

Servicen var utmärkt och fick all hjälp som behövdes - The room was very nice and beautiful, nicely decorated, probably recently renovated. Hostal Luz is situated in the center of Madrid, 5 minute walk to the shopping avenue and Plaza Mayor. I think it is best, especially for couples. - Honestly, as far as hostals go, this is the creme de la creme. What afantastic stay. Although we had problems with the wireless internet,the room itself was fantastic. The staff was very considerate andhelpful as well.
