very close to the old city and to the port (the city itself justifies a
visit). The house is nicely renovated, rooms are charming, beds are

La Villa Garenne is a perfectly situated, fully renovated historic home with access to the medieval walled city of Vannes right across the street. The room was lovely and the bed so comfortable. We were served homemade yogurt, fresh croissants and pastries, coffee, tea and juice in a lovely dining room before setting out for the rest of our journey. The proprietors could not have been more charming or helpful. Would definitely highly recommend.

Location excellent as within walking distance of centre and restaurants, and not far from the hospital where we had an appointment early the next morning. The hotel, overall, was lovely and with one exception the staff were
too. Unfortunately as we were waiting to check out, the young lady
working on Reception was extremely rude - she purposely ignored us
whilst she carried on counting till receipts and treated us with what
appeared to be, contempt. Sadly this was our last contact with Le Roof
and left us feeling very disappointed.

Very clean. Ian (Yian) the host very friendly and even though his english is limited he tries to help with things to do and see. He is also accommodating in that he allowed us to have cheese and wine on the patio in the evening and provided plates and glasses.

We received a very warm welcome from our hostess. The room was exactly as in the photo, tastefully and elegantly furnished and spotlessly clean. Every comfort was provided for, down to the tea-making facilities, the pretty chinaware and the fluffy white bathrobes.The warm crepes at breakfast was a nice touch and it was good to know that light refreshments were available in the room had we wanted them.
