  La villa Garenne is a wonderful guesthouse for a stay in Vannes as it is very close to the old city and to the port (the city itself justifies a visit). The house is nicely renovated, rooms are charming, beds are comfortable, the owner is nice and helpful and a good breakfast is offered. Truly recommended. Although very well situated, it was not e... wat mensen zeggen » asy to find (even with GPS), therefore if you have trouble to get there, the best way is to look for St.Joseph’s Parking (a free public parking close - La Villa Garenne is a perfectly situated, fully renovated historic home with access to the medieval walled city of Vannes right across the street. The room was lovely and the bed so comfortable. We were served homemade yogurt, fresh croissants and pastries, coffee, tea and juice in a lovely dining room before setting out for the rest of our journey. The proprietors could not have been more charming or helpful. Would definitely highly recommend.

  Charming and helpful hosts. Very comfortable room in lovely family house - very quiet too. Location excellent as within walking distance of centre and restaurants, and not far from the hospital where we had an appointment early the next morning. Parking was easy and nearby - essential as we had our dog with us! Our room was very clean had a huge and very comfortable bed, tea making facilities and fridge and of course that view of the boats coming and going. We had been traveling for a while and when we asked if she had a washer and dryer we could use she said yes of course, and proceeded to whisk our laundry away and do it herself.
