Friendliness and efficiency of the staff. The special price made it possible to upgrade to an executive suite room which was very comfortable. This is a excellent property in every way. We stayed in a room with a private entrance and small terrace overlooking the garden. Me, my hubby and 2 year old son had a fantastic stay @ the Coastlands on the ridge hotel. The hotel and rooms (big wow) are elegant and beautifully decorated (we had deluxe room) plus the view from the balcony looking out over durban is stunning. Excellent young staff at all points.They seem to want to help rather than just provide service. The arrival & departure was warm. Even the security person in the car park wanted to do something to please.The young people in the reception and dining room were excellent.

I was impressed with Tosca's attentiveness - she asked where I would like to go and brought out a map to help me. I felt very well looked after. Then in the morning I had breakfast and the manager (forgot his name) was talkative and friendly and I enjoyed the breakfast. -

The hosts Gavin and Jenny were fabulous. They made us feel so welcome and at home. They and their staff are very professional in what they do. The quality of the food, breakfast and dinner, was very good. This is really a beautiful place to stay. the gardens are very luscious and green. Hospitality is great. Wendy and Tony and their staff go out of their way to make you feel welcome and at home. The bed was very comfortable. I had a lovely swim in the pool and enjoyed their prolific garden. The breakfast was enjoyable and well served.
