Manaar House is definitely one of the best places to stay in Durban/Umhlanga. We stayed there for three nights in the self Catering Apartment. As a couple with young kids, it was an absolute dream staying at Manaar House as it was so kid friendly that our kids did not want to go out because of the toys provided in our section of the house! They had so much fun & were so comfortable and as parents, that mattered most to us. The views from the kids rooms were phenomenal & they absolutely loved it!

Lovely rooms we stayed in the self-catering lodges. View beautiful. Good Beds. Liked the fact that we could self cater or go to restaurant for breakfast.
Even though restaurant closed in May during low guests they did offer room service for dinners.

I was impressed with Tosca's attentiveness - she asked where I would like to go and brought out a map to help me. I felt very well looked after. Then in the morning I had breakfast and the manager (forgot his name) was talkative and friendly and I enjoyed the breakfast. -

Very positive! I have lived in KZN all my life and often booked at expensive hotels, however Sica Guest House was a humbly experience bcoz I was treated to friendly people with no hassles! The staff was very friendly and warm. We were treated very well. The location of the hotel was very central to most tourist attractions and there was a great vibe. The breakfast was very nice as well. The hotel was ideal for a family as the fridge, kettle with beverages and sink plus microwave was a bonus as it made it possible to save on costs by not having to eat out and enjoy meals in the hotel, appreciating the views in the dining area. The hotel gets a 10/10 from me and i really got value

The welcoming was good despite the fact that I arrived very late past check-in time. The elderly guys(managers) were very hospitable n friendly. The rooms were very clean, felt homely. Breakfast was lovely freshley prepared. I would definitely go back there some time in the near future.
