  Friendliness and efficiency of the staff. The special price made it possible to upgrade to an executive suite room which was very comfortable. In addition the room had a bath (my wife's requirement) and a shower for myself.   We really enjoyed our stay there. Our hosts where just great to talk to. Very friendly and knowlegeable on the area. He greated us with a refreshing drink and took the time to tell us about the area, the good restaurants and what to visit. He provided us with a local maps and great tips for local tours.   Me, my hubby and 2 year old son had a fantastic stay @ the Coastlands on the ridge hotel. The hotel and rooms (big wow) are elegant and beautifully decorated (we had deluxe room) plus the view from the balcony looking out over durban is stunning. We were treated - Excellent young staff at all points.They seem to want to help rather than just provide service. The arrival & departure was warm.
