A really good stop-over hotel on our way to Dordogne. Would fully recommend a stay here and also do have the evening meal - a must!! Not at all expensive - 4 courses, including wine and all beautifully prepared. We did have a slight difficulty with the translation of the menu, so the lovely lady owner got out her lap-top and did 'translate'. Exc

This is a classic French countryside homestay that made you feel like royalty at best, or a friend of the family at worst! This wonderful place was a terrific stop over driving from Belgium to Etretat. It is only about 30 minutes or so from Rouen. The lovely couple who own the property are so welcoming. They renovated the entire property to make a very charming home and chambres d'hotes in the peaceful countryside. Breakfast included delicious homemade breads and jams. L'Oree de Giverny was a lovely B&B minutes from Monet's gardens in Giverny. Located by fast flowing river, we enjoyed the quiet and privacy. The village of Giverny can be very crowded during the day. We had a large bedroom and bath, with all the comforts of home. Our hosts the Werth's were very helpful and gave us good advice as to visiting the area and fixed a decious breakfast that featued local food. Visiting gardens was very special and our stay at L'Oree de Givery equally special!

Excellent hotel super location overlooking the port. We had a sea facing superior room which was really worth the extra cost. We were out of season so free parking directly in front of the hotel was always available. Staff were very friendly and helpful and the breakfast buffet worth the cost. Centrally located in a pleasant Port town surrounded by very good seafood restaurants with extraordinarily helpful and friendly staff. The room was of a very high standard, extremely comfortable with superb views over the Port. There were excellent parking facilities.

Robert and Fabienne are delightful and welcoming hosts. We arrived early and our room wasn't quite ready so Fabienne made us tea and settle us in the lounge while we waited. Robert and Fabienne are simply marvellous hosts. This new venture is a winner they combine good old-fashioned hospitality with a friendly charm. Their cooking is straightforward, fresh and delicious. The rooms are great size and very comfortable. Perfect for a stopover or and extended stay to explore wonderful Normandy. Their place is not to be missed.

Close to Giverny for Monet Garden visit. Very clean spacious room with nice garden. Owners were on holiday but Jacqui looked after us very well.We met her at the gate at 5pm punctually. Home made jams for bread and croissants for breakfast plus fruit and yoghurt. A lovely little complex with bikes available.
