This B&B is set in a restored 19th century farmhouse in Mauquenchy in Haute-Normandie. Guests are invited to relax on the terrace or explore the surrounding 4-hectare garden.
The individually decorated guest rooms are situated in the main building and include private bathrooms. The B&B also proposes wooden caravans with private terraces and access to the garden.
Upon reservation, an evening menu based on regional cuisine can be enjoyed with the other guests in the dining room at Chambres d’Hôtes et Roulottes Le Clos du Quesnay.
BBQ facilities, a children’s playground and a lawn bowls playing area are available in the garden. The B&B presents a common TV lounge with board games and a fireplace.
Free parking is possible on site and the Rouen Train Station is 43 km away. The B&B is & 50-minute drive from the city of Dieppe and the English Channel.

This is a classic French countryside homestay that made you feel like royalty at best, or a friend of the family at worst! Fabulous hosts, rooms spacious (converted barn with roof windows and exposed timber structural beams). Such friendly and engaging hosts are Jean-Francois and Sabine who are also incredible cooks, making apple bread, apple cider and apperitif. This wonderful place was a terrific stop over driving from Belgium to Etretat. It is only about 30 minutes or so from Rouen. The lovely couple who own the property are so welcoming. They renovated the entire property to make a very charming home and chambres d'hotes in the peaceful countryside. Breakfast included delicious homemade breads and jams. The "family room" in the main building was very comfortable, clean and spacious for four people. Try to be there for dinner. We heard it was f.
We liked receiving a personal email from the owner prior to our arrival,
welcoming us and giving helpful information. On arrival he and his wife
were waiting for us at the door, and took care of our every need. The
rooms are large and beautifully presented, and the evening meal was a
true pleasure, both for it's quality and for how it was served with
an explanation from our host of just how local all the produce was.
Breakfast was equally good. If we visit this area again, this is where
we will.
We were absolutely bowled over with this lovely hotel. Our room (well, suite) was just beautiful and we thoroughly enjoyed wandering around the fantastic grounds and then on to the village. Jean-Francois and Sabine couldn't have been more welcoming and the breakfast (mostly home-made) was well worth lingering over. We would love to go back for longer, perhaps even to try out the delightful gypsy caravans.
Lovely renovated farmhouse, with extensive grounds. Sabine and Jean Francois were knowledgeable and friendly hosts. We had a cold 'assiette gourmande' which was very good and delicious homemade chocolate dessert. We were on the top floor in a very large bedroom with a little sitting room, plus a large bathroom - all very comfy. Splendid breakfast including homemade apple cake, bread, brioche and jams.
Fantastic evening meal, Sabine magically produced dinner for 19, really good quality French cooking with lots of local produce. Noce mix of Brit, French, Dutch and Belgian clientele around the dinner table. Best B&B ever.
Will aim to do Newhaven Dieppe crossings from now on just to stay there on trips down thru France.
We cannot thank the owners enough for looking after our group so well. Everything was truly excellent.
We arrived late after riding from London to be greeted with a magnificent home made dinner with home made wine. We would highly recommend this B&B and will definitely make the effort to return one day soon.
Jean-Francois and Sabine are very friendly and considerate hosts. They provide an excellent evening meal and breakfast using home-made and local produce. The rooms are very good. This is an ideal place to stop on the way to or back from south or west France. We look forward to coming again.
Very helpful friendly owners. Spacious room and ensuite. Dellicious home cooked dinner featuring some of the owners own produce.. and likewise, breakfast had home made jams, cake etc. We stayed in chambre 'Frequin Rouge'(named after an apple variety).
Wonderful Chambres d'Hote. Friendly owners, excellent food - 4 course evening meal and a marvellous spread for breakfast. Plenty of food from the garden or sourced locally. The owners 'chat' helped everyone relax and enjoy the food and wine.
Most friendly B & B we have stayed at. Evening meal with owners and other visitors a very pleasant experience. Both Sabine and Jean Francois spoke English and would be a place we would use again stayed 2 nights.

Fantastic food. Unique accommodation in the caravan. Our hosts were very welcoming and extremely helpful. Overall it was excellent value with a bike shop nearby. Ideal for cyclists on the route verte to Paris.
