  We loved the condo we rented. It was close to a pool and beach access. The condo was well maintained and was well stocked for a beach vacation (beach towels, chairs, umbrella). We were able to briefly meet the condo owner and she was very sweet. - It was so comfortable unlike a hotel room.   My husband and I are divorced, but we take our kids 9&12 on family vacations. We had adjoining rooms with huge screened in porches on the ground level. The view was incredible, but private. We had a direct walk out to the beach. We went kayaking, boogie boarding and shelling...all of which are right there. It's is not a huge commercial resort and we especially liked that - We loved the Island: in fact we wished we could live their as we liked it so much.   We loved it!! We arrived at 3pm and our upgraded unit was ready. It was a newly renovated time share unit that was magnificent. The grounds were beautifully maintained and the staff responded immediately when we needed a couple of fixes to our unit. The ac control needed a battery and the repair was done immediately. The rental price for beach chairs and umbrella were fair. We enjoyed renting bicycles onsite for 24 hours to explore all the wonderful sights available within biking distance. The beach was lovely. We enjoyed listening to the surf from our room. The pool and lunch/happy hour choices were pleasant. Dinner at the Thistle Inn was very good.

  Location was good - close (within walking distance) to the beach. Facilities were more than adequate - very nicely appointed and clean. Very well stocked with more than sufficient necessities and more. Staff was friendly and accommodating.   It was a great location. The room and bathroom were updated which was great. The facility including the room was very clean. We live in South Florida but are originally from Philly and Boston and it reminded us of the Northeast. The whole facility gave us a welcoming, cozy and warm feeling. Gerry in the Office was also very friendly and helpful - The proximity to the beach was key for me. Our room overlooked a pool area with a clear view of the water and sunsets beyond. It was lovely. The hotel was built in the 1960s; however, it has been updated very adequately. I wanted to stay in a place with some history, and I got exactly that! It was delightful. There were clearly people there who had been visiting for years!
