  It is a beautiful hotel in a great location. We looked everywhere for a place to stay and were so glad we choose this location. Staff was wonderful and extremely helpful!   We were pleasantly surprised to find the location was within walking distance to Belmont Park. We were also able to rent bikes and cruise the boardwalk as well as the bay. We rented a kayak and tootled around the bay. The room was comfortable and quiet. At check in, the clerk gave us all kinds of helpful info and answered all questions. All in all, it was a great trip. - Loved the location, easy to get to the Zoo and Seaworld. Pool area and spa was fantastic, quiet place to relax and enjoy a drink while the kids are in the pool!! Room lovely and great having the separate lounge area. We have been travelling around California for the last few weeks from New Zealand and this hotel is voted the kid's favourite so far!!

  Accommodations are very nice. I like that when we ordered room service and they got the order wrong. They did not argue with us, they just handled it promptly.   The hotel, while an older building, had been recently renovated and what a pleasant surprise with all the character & artistic flair in the room (and even the hallway!) The "wow" factor was definitely there when we opened the door to the King suite. The room was a lovely size, the bathroom huge, with great tilework and an awesome shower. The sofa bed actually had 2 separate beds, so we could have had m - I stayed here very recently for six nights while attending a conference downtown. Let me say it was totally worth the extra effort and cost in cabs to get downtown ( half hour by bus, 15 minutes 13 bucks by cab). The staff is friendly, courteous, and professional, from the cleaning staff, valet parking attendants, front desk folks and management. I get the feeling people love their jobs and want to deliver good service to the guests. The bar downstairs is awesome and deserves its own review. On
