  Liked the Casino so close and the on call shuttle made it so easy. Had a 2 day layover so it gave us something to do. Restaurant wasn't bad breakfast better than dinner but it was convenient.   Thw location is perfect. We walked uptown, downtown, to the arena for a eric clapton concert. We parked the car and never had to use it. We walked back from Boubon st at 1:30 in the morning it was safe and an easy walk. The hotel was very quiet, and the bed was the most comfortable we had on our ten day trip staying at high end hotels. The housekeeping staff did an excellent job the room sme - What made this place stand out from the other hotels was the staff. They are very friendly and comply to every request of the guest. I have stayed in many hotels and this hotel by far has the best front desk service. I also like all the amenities that are located in the room which include a refrigerator and a microwave. In my opinion those are essential needs of a traveler.

  Everyone so friendly and helpful. Even had a valet employee go across the street to try and get me a map when i needed directions. Front desk employee worked above and beyond to let us move to an adjoining room with our friends when stayed a second night. Waitress in cafe very helpful and buffet was great. The bathroom was large with a tub/shower and a separate shower. The bed was very comfortable. The exterior, lobby, restaurants, restrooms and casino were very clean and well maintained. The staff was friendly and quite helpful. The value was very, very good.

  I stayed on the Pontchartrain during early December 2013. My room was nicer than what I expected. Various internet reviews of the hotel were discouraging; however, I found my room to be (for the $$) large, recently updated, clean, and outfitted with a comfortable bed, sitting room furniture, fridge, mircowave, and a large flat screen tv in the sit... ce que les gens disent » ting area. Should I visit the Garden District of nola again, I will choose this hotel. Btw, the hotel staff are very charming and helpful! - The hotel is located in a nice quiet area and by nice restaurants. Spacious rooms and comfortable beds. Very friendly and helpful stuff Hotel itself is very historical and interior will take you at least a century back. I could recommend it for special events as well if you are looking for a charming atmosphere.
