  My wife and I have stayed at the Samoset Resort a number of times and the staff has always been accommodating and extremely friendly. Meals in the restaurant are excellent and the ambiance (both in the restaurant and in the hotel) couldn't be better - summer or winter. - The pool was beautiful and had a family friendly atmosphere.   This was a very lovely place. It seemed brand new as everything was meticulous from the grounds, office/lounge to the rooms.. The decor was nautical and really well done. The room was spotless, large and had everything we needed with nice little touches. We saw the sunrise from our bed. It was a convenient drive to Rockland, Rockp - I have to say, I am a very particular traveller. My husband and I research whereever we stay. The Island view (especially, the woman at the front desk) was so charming and inviting the moment you stepped inside. We stayed in room 112, which the front desk person suggested. We were so pleased upon entering the room. The decor was wonderful, actually, it was perfect. The views were spectacular and our stay only got better, if that's possible.
