  I have stayed in a Quality Inn before in Smithtown, li, ny. We enjoyed our stay there so I decided to try them on this trip. The front office staff were efficient and friendly and the room was well laid out with a obviously a lot of thought. While I was in Portland for my son's wedding, I contracted either food poisoning or a stomach virus. As a r... ce que les gens disent » esult, I had to be careful what I ate and when. On the website the hotel had advertised continental breakfast. What was served was actually a breakfas - Loved the location to public transportation. The bed was wonderful very comfortable, no waiting for the water to heat, the breakfast was very good. The room was equipped with what was promised and in good working order. The room was well attended by housekeeping.

  Can't beat the cost (only around 50 bucks a night after taxes) and the rooms are very clean and even have flatscreen TV's in some of the room's...,plus full Comcast digital cable with HBO with on demand.   The hotel, though a bit far from downtown Portland, is conveniently located right next to the light rail/bus station, so getting around the city is fairly easy. The hotel was clean enough and pretty much what I expected from an Econo Lodge. The housekeeping staff were efficient and unobtrusive.
