I don't know where all the negative reviews come from, but we found
this to be a very clean motel.I Grew up with family owning a motel, and
a grand-mother who cracked the whip at cleanliness for others, so first
thing I did was check the beds, and the shower..(force of habit), also
gave it a white glove check around picture frames and door way..al

The place is a short walk to the beach and places to eat such as Hungry Jack (pancake house) with Pizza Hut not far away.
Recently renovated rooms were very comfortable and modern. The A/C worked great!
Also, water pressure for the bathrooms were good. Not like some places where the shower drools out water.
Will definitely consider staying here again.

Art the owner was the BEST! My sons had the best senior week ever. Once Art knew I was a stern, watchful but caring mom. He was very nice and helpful to my boys. Too bad the room two door down did not have parents that taught them manners. At the end of the stay he called me and thanked me for having respectful young men I my family. Truly the ONL

Great location - couldn't be better, not too close to the noise from
the fun-fair on the boardwark, but right on the beach and with a
wonderful view from the large balconies at the end of the house (not
from the rooms). Free parking close to the motel and fridge.

I love the oceanfront room. Whenever we come to oc we always stay on
the beach. When we checked in and got our key, we opened the door and
saw that someone's elses belongings were there. The staff were
very attentive and apoligized and got us another room quickly.
I'll be back. -

I thought they had the most comfortable pillows and beds. I slept better
at the Flamingo then I do at home. Great location! Not far from the
boardwalk or great places to eat. Great access to the beach and the
indoor pool area was very clean and big.

the price was excellent, the rooms wernt the ritz but they were sufficient. the pool was really nice. and it was close to everything(Phillips across the street,boardwalk a block away,mini golf 2 blocks away, fishtails like a half block away. plus there was the party block real close and a beer distributor within 2 blocks) -

didn't spend much time there otherwise. I like that it had a sink,
refrigerator and microwave. I also liked that cable was included. The
hot water worked (very hot, loved it). It is also at a great location
& it was super cheap!

the room was nice, it was comfortable and quite. any thing that I asked for I didn't have a problem getting it. the young lady at the front desk was very nice and helpful -

If you are looking for a good "bang for your buck" this hotel is for you. Very good location, you could feel the ocean breeze and it took 5 minutes to walk to the water from the hotel. We really enjoyed staying at the hotel. It was clean and the price was
right. There were more young couples then families. So if you were
looking for a more family style hotel this may not be the best. The
location was off the boardwalk but still bean accessible. We could walk
to Seacrets and the places that the young couple like to hit up. :)
It's motel style set up was perfect for those who come in late
night, as we didn't feel like we were disturbing anyone. We read

The staff was very cordial and helpful. Our air conditioning unit
failed during our stay and upon calling the desk, a maintenance person
came complete with a new unit to replace the broken one. It took only
about 10 minutes total. We will definitely return to the Rodeway next
summer, it was relaxing and our oceanfront room was an excellent value

I was extremely worried about the reviews that said about bed bugs
especially since we took an 8 month old but the room was great. I
previously had checked on how to spot bed bugs and I was unable to
notice any nor did any of us receive any bites during our stay. I also
liked the staff. They were willing to help with whatever we needed. -

The room was clean, more than adequate space for 2 people, the staff was very friendly and helpful. We were going deep sea fishing the following morning, and the location was the best we have had in years in OC. We were in close proximity to Layton's Restaurant which serves a 6 a.m. breakfast. The King Charles Hotel is close to the beach. The room was very clean and the housekeeping staff paid a lot of attention to detail. All of the staff was very friendly. There was coffee available each morning. It is a very homey environment, and I enjoyed sitting on the porch in the morning. The hotel is nothing fancy, but it is priced accordingly for what it offers. There is also parking available, which is a huge plus for Ocean City. I would definitely recommend The King Charles Hotel.

Hotel wastrels from the beach. We had a side balcony room with a great view of the beach. Hotel was "dated", pool is small & not heated. We read some terrible reviews before arriving, but were relieved to find a clean comfortable room waiting. Hotel staff was very accomodating. If people want "luxury", then pay more $$$!! This place is fine for the price. Get over yourself people!

I loved having an outside entrance to our room. It was great not having to walk into and out of a hotel everytime we came and went. The staff was very personable, even the cleaning crew was great! I loved that there was always fresh coffee available for free! The price was definiately affordable! I will defintely stay here again with my husband. -

The rooms were updated, even though it was clear to see that this isn't a new hotel, it had the old charm outside but the rooms were updated with flat screen tv's and the furnishings were modern, the bath was modernized, very nice.
I was also happy to see emergency exits were well marked.
