The staff are fabulous, very friendly, professional, cannot do more to help. The pool is great - at times (weekend afternoons when the sun is out) it is quite a "scene" which might annoy someone looking to relax but it is what it is (and at other times it is very relaxing). The restaurants are very good and the rooftop bar/club PHD is great on a Saturday (although be aware that it is run separately from the hotel so after 11 or so, being a hotel guest does not guarantee access). staff - friendly and very helpful, changed our room the following day we asked for it, rooms - very nicely arranged and clean, cool metro-style bathrooms, lavender aroma and pretty good complimentary coffee. very good location, just next to Highline, quiet during the night, comfortable mattress and good size bed (King) in our first room. The staff, location and excellent value. The rooms are small but very nicely equipped. 22nd street is more quiet than most, so the street noise was very low for NY. Neighborhood is full of restaurants and shops, subway is a short block away, and there is a Citibike stand right outside the front door.

The warm cookies, really helpful staff, shower pressure, the free bottled water was a massive highlight to us and has set a personal standard. Also having the opportunity to check in early was amazing after getting off an overnight flight.

Nous avons apprécié le style Art Déco de cet hôtel et séjourné dans unechambre très propre et très agréable avec une literie de qualité. - hôtel très bien situé. Hôtel que je connaissais pour y avoir logé en 1994. J'en avais été satisfait et j'y retournerai avec plaisir.

The location of the hotel was ideal - a very short walk to 8th Avenue, eateries, shops, etc. Our room was spacious with excellent WIFI. Very helpful and friendly staff, especially James who sprinted all the way from the hotel to 8th Avenue to flag down a cab for us so that we could be at the Palace Theatre in good time. -

I can't say enough about how awesome this hotel was. I kept telling
my husband, "Wow!! We SCORED!!!!" The rooms were quite
spacious, the shower had great water pressure, we loved having a little
mini kitchen with a fridge, stove top and dishwasher. It was great for
reheating leftovers when the kids were hungry. The staff was courteous

From the moment we checked in until we departed we were treated like gold. I got this room at an excellent price yet the staff and our concierge went above and beyond their duties with little extras like cupcakes and bubbly for my boyfriends 30 th which we spent in NYC.
