  The Margate is a large and resorty hotel (we tend not to go for any hotel with "resort" in the name) and we got exactly what we expected. However the lake to the rear is wonderful and the highlight of our entire two weeks in New England was probably a meal (very good value) on the little jetty as the sun was setting over the lake (although three ... ce que les gens disent » pints of the excellent Harpoon IPA may have served to enhance the overall picture somewhat!). And the lady at the bar was wonderful. - I enjoyed the hotel very much. The front desk staff was exceptional, friendly and very helpful. I enjoyed the front lobby very much, I had a friend stop by to see me and we were very comfortable in the seating area, it was very quite and comfortable. I would diffenately come back to the Margate!!
