Hotel 140 is located only a 5-minute walk from the rear exit of Back Bay Railroad Station. Upon arrival I had taken the train from Springfield, MA. I followed the drive where the local buses pull into Back Bay Station right out to Clarendon Street and bore left. I had just a half-block walk from that point to the front entrance of the hotel. Everyone was very nice, especially the women who helped with breakfast in the mornings and happy hour in the afternoons. They were the best part! The location was great, and the room was very comfortable. I will definitely recommend my family stays there again.

The landscaped grounds of the PBVR are interesting and beautiful. We were also pleasantly surprised that the room we stayed in had been recently renovated. There was a new rug, comfortable beds, and the bathroom was recently retiled. The room was spacious for a family of four. It was nice to have breakfast available on site.

The hotel was situated by the waterfront, next to an excellent sea food restaurant, and the staff was excellent. I misplaced my GPS and one of the workers found it and returned it to me. That is not only excellent service--it is, in this time and place, worthy of highest praise. -

The rooms are modern and very nicely decorated. Everything was clean and crisp. The beds were soooo comfortable, therefore a great night sleep!!! Do to the rainy weather, we were not able to enjoy the pool (that looked cleaned and welcoming), fire and private beach across the street. The staff were very nice and attentive. There was no odor in room (no mold, no smoke, etc.). Looking forward to staying there again!!!

This is probably the most professional, helpful and kind staff I have yet to run into. You often find one great person that goes out of their way to be helpful but with this hotel, they are all terrific. Whoever manages this hotel has made some great hires. The rooms are very nice and well appointed. The breakfast is very good. Great choice for anyone visiting Boston but wanting to stay outside of the city.
