We have stayed in many bed and breakfasts over the years. This was the best we have ever stayed in. The accommodation was of an extremely high standard. The hosts, Dave and Brenda, could not have been more welcoming and helpful. They have clearly worked very hard indeed to create a superb experience for guests. Upon arrival we were greeted in a friendly manner. The whole place was fantasticly decorated to a high standard. Very clean, comfortable and spacious rooms. Breakfast was nvery good and a nice choice to choose from. The few extra touches such as DVD tv and radio in the bathroom were appreciated too, just a pity we didn't bring a DVD to watch. Park

Bright, clean rooms, comfortable beds, excellent breakfast and friendly host. This was our third visit to The Coach House. We keep coming back because its perfect for what we want from a short break. Great location for fantastic walks, close to both Bowness and Windermere for a choice of restaurants, shops and activities.

We hadn't stayed in a B and B before but this was one of the most wonderful experiences from start to end. Ethna welcomed us very warmly and made us feel at home throughout our whole stay. Ethna is very friendly, with a lovely sense of humour as well as being very knowledgeable and helpful about the breath-taking surrounding area.

Great location near the Lake District, The Western Dales, and Pennines with many hiking trails and a great pub (White Swan) in a beautiful little village. The room (including the bathroom) was large and very comfortable. It is definitely worth the short drive off the highway and i would stay there again if ever back in the area. -

Friendly, warm, genuine reception, they really make the effort to make your stay an enjoyable one. Facilities are really good with warm clean rooms. The location (in relation to walking distance to town) is great and the breakfast has to be one of the best I've ever had. I feel that it's more than a service that they provide, they have a genuine need to make your stay a good one.

We had a lovely friendly stay in homely surroundings with fabulous breakfasts. We were also given much information in relation to places to visit which was very helpful for our first visit to the lakes. The Mews is very well placed for accessing trains and buses as well as a lovely walk to the lakeside. Throughly recommended. -
