The location is fantastic, easily accessible by car, with a reserved parking space included in the price of the room. It is set away from the main roads that run through Ambleside, meaning you have little to no vehicles

We hadn't stayed in a B and B before but this was one of the most wonderful experiences from start to end. Ethna welcomed us very warmly and made us feel at home throughout our whole stay. Ethna is very friendly, with a lovely sense of humour as well as being very knowledgeable and helpful about the breath-taking surrounding area.

Upon arrival we were greeted in a friendly manner. The whole place was fantasticly decorated to a high standard. Very clean, comfortable and spacious rooms. Breakfast was nvery good and a nice choice to choose from. The few extra touches such as DVD tv and radio in the bathroom were appreciated too, just a pity we didn't bring a DVD to watch. Park

Bright, clean rooms, comfortable beds, excellent breakfast and friendly host. This was our third visit to The Coach House. We keep coming back because its perfect for what we want from a short break. Great location for fantastic walks, close to both Bowness and Windermere for a choice of restaurants, shops and activities.

We have stayed in many bed and breakfasts over the years. This was the best we have ever stayed in. The accommodation was of an extremely high standard. The hosts, Dave and Brenda, could not have been more welcoming and helpful. They have clearly worked very hard indeed to create a superb experience for guests. We found this delightful place very near to the village center. The owner and her daughter were extremely polite, caring and helpful, on our arrival they had provided us with loads of guides and plenty of info for our hiking trip across and around the lakes. We had room 3 with the 4 poster bed, it was soooooo comfortable! Diane

needs, my friend left her electric cigarette charger at home so Diane
let us use her personal computer to charge it. Also, when we got there
Diane had left leaflets and a map on our bed, this helped so much during

My wife and I stayed a few nights at The Ashberry Guest House. it is ideally located for both Penrith town centre and the North Lakes, northern M6 area. The owners are very helpful but not overbearing. The guest house itself is very modern, clean and comfortable. And the full English breakfast was very nice. Overall a great place to stay. Would definitely recommend it.

Friendly, warm, genuine reception, they really make the effort to make your stay an enjoyable one. Facilities are really good with warm clean rooms. The location (in relation to walking distance to town) is great and the breakfast has to be one of the best I've ever had. I feel that it's more than a service that they provide, they have a genuine need to make your stay a good one.
