  I thought the hotel was beautiful, if I stay there again I'd try to upgrade to a balcony room. It was summer so the area was off-season and very quiet.   Bert serves an excellent breakfast and was very helpful providing hiking info. We relaxed for one hour in the hottub outside and shared one of Berts tastefull pizza's. A good place to stay! - We liked the hot tub barrel...very unique idea! The owner and service was exceptional! The rooms were clean and pretty.

  The room was charming, comforatble, and luxurious, in a separate 8 unit building at the rear of the complex, called the Mill House. It came with everything from a Keurig coffee maker to plush white bathrobes to be used after you hop out of the Jacuzzi tub, and a nice wide flat scree TV. It was finally a facility that had great lighting in the bath... what people say » room so I could shave and my wife could apply her make-up. The bed was very comfortable, with nice linens. Although we didn't have the time to make us - We have stayed at the GMI many times over the past ten years and have never failed to be pleased. The staff are friendly, particularly Jane at breakfast who is our GMI hero - our kids have grown up looking forward to seeing her cheery face. She always remembers us, our dogs, our stories. It's just like home from home and it's immaculately taken care of. We love our visits and are already working on our next one.

  Your staff. I had to leave my car in the parking lot and the keys at the front desk until my wife came and picked up the car. It may be a small thing for your staff to do but it was a relief that my car was safe. The heated pool was a hit with it being a bit chilly in the morning, the kids still were able to swim aftrr an early breakfast for the duration of the morning before checkout.   This is another great place where to stay in Stowe. This place is nice, cool and cozy. Owners are really nice and helpful so we felt very welcome. We like the breakfast as well as the pool with hot bath. This time we had the "economy room" which is small and little dated, but for the price still ok. Next time we will choose another room. We definitely recommend North - The young couple who own and operate the Norhern Lights are wonderful. Go out of their way to meet the customer's needs. Late check in...no problem. Can't get wi-fi...fixes the router right away. Makes a point to keep up to date on other business' in the area so they can give good advice to their customers.
