  I thought the hotel was beautiful, if I stay there again I'd try to upgrade to a balcony room. It was summer so the area was off-season and very quiet. The pool was wonderful and the courtyard was a great place to sit and relax. - The main lobby's decor was very welcoming.   The room was charming, comforatble, and luxurious, in a separate 8 unit building at the rear of the complex, called the Mill House. It came with everything from a Keurig coffee maker to plush white bathrobes to be used after you hop out of the Jacuzzi tub, and a nice wide flat scree TV. It was finally a facility that had great lighting in the bath... what people say » room so I could shave and my wife could apply her make-up. The bed was very comfortable, with nice linens. Although we didn't have the time to make us - We have stayed at the GMI many times over the past ten years and have never failed to be pleased. The staff are friendly, particularly Jane at breakfast who is our GMI hero - our kids have grown up looking forward to seeing her cheery face. She always remembers us, our dogs, our stories. It's just like home from home and it's immaculately taken care of. We love our visits and are already working on our next one.

  Absolutely beautiful! We can not wait to go again in the winter. All of the staff were very friendly & courteous. The views are breathtaking. The rooms were very comfortable with silky feeling sheets. The pool area was plenty big with room for kids & the adults along with a nice bar area to get food & beverages. The kids loved the area... what people say » with the 4 square, shuffleboard,& large chess. - We loved our room. There was a staff member named Ken who grew up in the same area of CT as us. The town of Stowe looked like something out of a movie.

  We felt like they cared about us. We weren't just filling up space. The breakfast had fresh fruit cut up. I felt like the owners cared about us as people and wanted us to return. Very nice feeling. - Staff was friendly and hospitable.

  We stayed here for skiing and snowshoeing. 10 minute drive to Stowe Mountain and snowshoeing/hiking trails (could also have snowshoed right from the resort). Staff were very friendly and helpful. Big rooms with very comfy Kingsize bed, two comfy reading chairs and small table, coffee/tea in room. Great breakfast restaurant on site - lots of ch... what people say » oices.
