  Located in the heart of Newport within walking distance of many great restaurants, shops and a short 5 minute drive to the beaches and massions. Staff was helpful and pleasant. Accommodations clean and very comfortable. - The room was beautifully decorated. The bathroom and tub were luxurious.

  The quiet room. The comfortable bed. The cleanliness of our room and the inn. The comfort of the bed and the temperature of the room. The staff were friendly, attentive and accommodating---they were able to suggest a way to get to downtown without taking our van even though the commuter rail was not running. - We fly into TF Green at least once ... what people say » a year, spending a Thurs. night and a Sunday night at one of the close by airport hotels. This is the 5th one we have tried and is the best for sure.The location to the car rental, the staff, rooms and breakfast are all wonderful. Can't wait to return,

  Request for a room with a view was honored. The corner room had three large windows looking out to the city and a nearby bell tower/steeple which chimed on the hour...must to our delight. Not in the least bit annoying as others have stated. Quite charming. Beds were luxuriously comfortable. Can't recall a more enjoyable hotel stay. Cleanliness wa... what people say » s better than average. The towels and bed linens were crisp and fresh. - Due to some mis-hap, the hotel didn't have our booking. However, they were able to accommodate us and one of our rooms was better than we had originally booked, at no extra cost, so - result! Only stayed one night so don't feel we got the full benefit of the hotel, however the staff were very pleasant and helpful, particularly in relation to the missing booking.

  Enjoyed the facility itself, but the staff made our stay more pleasurable. The location was within walking distance to almost all of Newport. I will go again. - I love that the hotel is unique and desn't feel like any chain hotel. I also love the history of the hotel and that it has been open since 1929.

This is like an icon of the city and one of those old-school American hotels. The location itself is unbeatable and it looks over the 'central park' of Providence; Kennedy Plaza. The front desk upgraded me to a larger room with morning sun. The bed was very comfortable, firm with a mountain of soft pillows. Good, fast (and complimentary) wireless. Fitness room was empty at 5:30 a.m. easily accessible and with towels and bottled water.

  I was scheduled to stay for one night then switched hotels. I had a lovely time, but my second hotel wasn't what I hoped for. I called this marriot and explained my situation, they were very understanding and told me they had plenty of rooms available. I checked out of that hotel and returned back to the marriot.   The general "feel" and ambience is terrific. Using the Park & Fly deal, the parking while away on a trip is free, if less than two weeks.
