  From the moment Caroline welcomed us, we experienced the relaxing and welcoming atmosphere of the inn. Our room had a beautiful view and was perfect in every aspect (including the wine fridge). The Edgewater is close to town yet far enough away from the hustle and crowds. I'm still raving about the breakfast - I would skip dessert at dinner in ant... what people say » icipation of the breakfast. I highly recommend the Edgewater Inn - we will definitely return!! - The host was very welcoming and helpful - I arrived late in need of an iron and ironing board. They were delivered to my room within minutes along with an ice cold sparkling water, very appreciated. The room was spotless, the bed comfortable. I loved the shower stall, lined with beach stones.

  The staff were superb. The location on the Bar Harbor coast was unbeatable. The buildings and grounds are exceptionally well maintained. My wife and I celebrated our 30th anniversary and spent six nights at Bar Harbor Inn, and my wife has since told me that my selection of hotels was perfect. While in Bar Harbor, we made it a point to try as many ... what people say » restaurants as possible. The meal at the Reading Room was our best experience. The lobster pie was incredible! - Great location, very clean, nice room, easy to park next to the room, great continental breakfast, great view of the ocean. It was a short walk to town. For picking it sight unseen (except for pictures on the Internet) we were very pleased with choosing the Bar Harbor Inn and delighted with the overall experience.

  The ambieance of the facility, the very friendly and helpful staff. The view and value of the price for the room and wonderful breakfast that came with it. Just an overall wonderful experience that was initially unplanned and immediately after we arrived we checked into the availability to stay another night. - The secluded seaside location.   A completely awesome experience. The room was enormous, with a huge bathroom. There is also a theater room (great for watching football games), multiple lounges, and an incredible reading nook on the third floor. The nightly rate might appear expensive, but this is actually a good value. - Superb accommodations and a lovely edifice!
