  We were a party of 2 couples with 2 rooms. When we checked in, we were told that they ran out of rooms with double queen beds, so both rooms were upgraded to suites at no extra charge. We certainly got off to a good start! Everyone at the hotel was always courteous and friendly and ready to help. The restaurant in the hotel is quite nice with good... what people say » food at reasonable prices. The view from our rooms was stunning. As the person who picked this hotel, I was glad that everyone in our party was happy - Stayed at the Atlantic Oceanside's downtown apartment in Bar Harbor, The Song of the Sea. It was perfect! Centrally located downtown with a beautiful view of the harbor and Bar Island, it was perfect for our family of 5. 2 bedrooms, 2 baths, kitchen and living area was great and the washer and dryer was a added bonus. Decorated nicely, very clean and the parking spot two blocks away was great. Will only stay there on our next visit to the wonderful Bar Harbor/Acadia area!

  When I called to let them know I'd arrive late, call was answered promptly, Lisa identified herself by name and I was assured it was no problem (and it wasn't a problem - she left that message at the desk as she said she would.) Friendly desk staff by phone and in person.   I really like how friendly and helpful the staff is. Fast check in, indeed they have my room key ready when I got to the hotel, almost like just waiting for me.   I was traveling on my own. I felt very safe at the Senator Inn and Spa. After being in my car for many hours, I loved working out in the very nice lap pool and relaxing in the jacuzzi. I have already told my girlfriends that we need to have a girls week end away shopping in Kittery and Free port and then go to the Senators Inn - We stayed overnight twice on our way to and from Delaware. The first time we were upgraded to a really nice, large room with a desk. The second time, the room was more modest but still comfortable. The pool was awesome for a keen swimmer. It even had lane lines for lap swimming. And the restaurant was really good. Breakfast was better than most free continentals.

  We really like they accomodated getting us on their shuttle van to the Cross Center for the Hank Concert. My fiance tried purchasing movies in rm 105, and for some reason it would not allow us to, so in order to make up for it, they gave us breakfast vouchers. Clean and well maintained. The only negative is that the restaurant closed at 9 pm and room service closed at 10 pm. We were at an area event and didn't get back until 11 pm.
