  The hotel grounds are beautiful and well maintained. Its location to Whalers Village and the beach are perfect. Our view of the ocean and the golf course were great and we had a five minute walk to the beach cabana where they had beach back rests and towels free to use for the hotel guests.   The location cannot be beat close to the beaches market and shops. It was like living in a botanical garden beautiful plants flowers and amazing pool. Walking down the pathway from the lobby to the beach was like walking thru a sweet little jungle ... I loved it! The Kona Islander Inn is like a gem in the middle of town. I will stay there again a... what people say » nd will recommend this to my family and friends. - The room quality ranges from 1 star to 5 stars, each with increasing price. It would be helpful if this were advertised on letsbookhotel.com. Luckily the hotel had a better room available than the one star unit we first saw.

  we were originally concerned about previous reviews of no air conditioning and noisy roosters. the only night that was uncomfortable was the first nite. we cranked up the fans and made sure everything was open and it was fine after that. The roosters were not a problem at all, barely heard them in the distance. the units were spacious and equip... what people say » ped with anything we could possibly need. parking was right at our door. our unit was in building 13 which backed up to a forested area, which made it - Our two-bedroom condo was comfortable, well-equipped, and in a great location-- the Princeville resort very close to Hanalei. The resort was actually nicer than I thought it would be. I would definitely come back.

  Eric, the owner, is an extremely friendly and sympathetic guy. Normally he rents out the complete house as a retreat center to groups. When there is no group booking, then he rents out the 6 apartments(each like 80 qm size) in the house to tourists. Living there is more like being at home then being in a hotel. We stayed there for 8 days and had a great and relaxed - Everything! Eric, the owner,gave us a tour so we would know where things were. We had a 2 bedroom suite with lanai and bathroom for $90. Unheard of value. Laundry was down the hall and free with detergent and softener provided. There is a well stocked kitchen for use by all guests. Very quiet and pleasant place.
