This hotel is perfect: being a few blocks from the city's downtown means you don't get the "undesirable" local residents outside the door. However, being on the city's main bus line, catching a bus is quick, easy, even exciting.

Convenient location out of the busy downtown area. Parking was a plus! Clean rooms and friendly, helpful staff. Loved the coffee and danish in the morning and Ella's restaurant at the corner. Room was comfy and the kitchenette was nice to have available.

The staff were really good and helpful. It felt secure with gated coded card access. It's not a 5 star hotel. It has dated decor has all the basics including free wifi. It looks like they are slowly renovating the hotel so I guess the room rates will go up but maybe not. San Francisco is an expensive city and hotel prices are in the high 300-400 p

Hotel was like an Oasis off the busy Lombard St. Get a courtyard facing room and its very quiet. We initially had a street facing room which was loud but not unbearable, especially later on in the evening. Staff at the hotel did offer us earplugs if we needed them. Rooms are very clean and some have kitchens. Parking is free which is very handy as

The entire property is lovely and maintained well. The room was pristine
and charming. I wish we had been off the street in the courtyard, but
that is something we will do next time we come into town. The parking
was a huge bonus and the proximity to the bus line made it possible to
just leave the car parked the entire time we were in the city! What a
jewel! P.S. when I forgot my prescriptions at home, the front desk
person helped me get them replaced there in the city, and even looked up
