The building itself: built in the late 1800s and completely refurbished but in keeping with its age plus all the mod cons. Great breakfast everyday plus snacks to come home to. Very convenient public transport outside the door. This hotel was a great find! Quiet and very charming. Upgraded but keeps the Victorian atmosphere. Took taxi to downtown.

Owner was very friendly and provided snacks throughout the day in addition to a lovely breakfast. Decor sumptuous. Terri provided outstanding breakfasts. Nice people, comfortable facilities. The Hotel is small and staff very friendly, breakfast excellent, bathrooms well equipped. TV was nice and it's close to the public transport. We were there in June and our Room was hot at times especially nights. It did not have the sound proofing of more modern hotels. Bit baffled by fancy all singing all dancing japanese loo. rooms very small, noise insulation to other rooms and hall a problem, plus incredible traffic noise for those rooms facing the road (buses and fire engines all night). Very poor value for the money - tiny room with bad taste interior, next to the fire department ( too loud), quite far from the city center, very limited breakfast.
