It was within walking or biking distance of the busy downtown fun, but provided a relaxing retreat with quite when needed. The staff was very knowledgeable about the area, friendly and helpful. I liked the variety of visitors that we got to interact with at breakfast or by the pool. Onsite parking comes with the room at no additional charge (Definitely a plus!). Location is good. Nice clean comfortable place. Close from the beach, but the beach is private. Walkable distance to Duval street. Good guy at the reception. Pool right in front of the room. Would recommend for family, couples alike. Breakfast and wi-fi included. Room had a small dressing room outside bathroom which was cool.
all reviews » While searching for rooms, I found the reviews of this motel were positive. The motel was small and clean. The room was clean and had what we needed. The staff help at an early check-in sent us exploring around Key West with some very good "local" activities and sites to take in. We booked one room, but when we went to check in, a better room was available and were given to us. It was very nice from the staff. Besides that, I had problem with my card and did not had the money at the time, even so they let us get the key before we withdraw the money. we stayed 3 nights. the first 2 nights was in a very big room with a small kitchen. very nice. the last night we had to move to another room. it was smaller but still clean and very nice. only good things to say. we would stay there again if we ever go back to Key West. Room was ready early upon our arrival. Staff were friendly, courteous and helpful. Beds were very comfortable and room had a sitting area and small kitchen. Rain shower head in shower was delightful! Room was bright with lots of windows and the A/C kept it comfortable. Great location for Duval Street, but quiet end so no noise from bars. Character, original style Keys hotel. Free parking. There were tiny wood ants in the bathroom, but we moved to another room and the problem was resolved (No more ants ;-). Expensive, but all accommodation is kind of expensive in Key West. Bathroom is small but not an issue. The air conditioner was a bit annoying until I changed the settings. The house is a little old and the insulating system is not good, which makes the AC works all the time, besides that the bathroom windows did not close all the way and some mosquito got inside the room during the night. Besides that everything was amazing. If you are picky, you won't like the grout needs cleaning and the bathroom floor hasn't been scrubbed with a toothbrush but it was clean. There were very loud guests at 4:00AM but that can happen anywhere, especially in Key West. Air conditioner setting kept us awake first night until we worked it out. Parking a little cramped. The ice machine was too small and pretty much ran out for the day if you emptied it out. I was very happy for the value. I am an early riser and was not sure what to do with the key when I left. Hope they got in the room ok. lol. Bed could be softer. Mattress and pillows lacking. Pillows Motel 6 style. Mattress was a bit uncomfortable and quite noisy. Drain in shower. Nothing. Air-conditioning in room was not strong enough for mid summer. Good, but at night we needed more power. no coffee maker in room fan and a/c loud can hear through the walls our room was much smaller than pictures parking very hard to get in and out off. No complaints. Parking lot very small. we did not have time to stay longer. The bathroom was outdated. The lighting in the rooms were terrible. the street noise is too loud and very early in the morning. this is on a bus route and tours route. all the cats around the breakfast table was very off putting. air conditioner was noisy and came on and off at odd times. there were disposable glasses, spoons, but no plates. we had to ask for plates the next day as we could not find plates in the kitchenette when we checked in. Short office hours. internet. nothing : ). microwave very weak. Continental breakfast could have been a bit better but not terrible. The water pressure in the shower was not adequate. The only way to get acceptable pressure was to turn both hot & cold to max but then the water temperature wasn't right. There was a strange smell in the bathroom coming from the pipes but as long as you kept the door closed it was not a problem. We arrived before 5pm and there was no one available in the front desk to provide door keys. Multiple calls were made to announce our arrival but none of the numbers posted for support were operable. The Inn has a sister establishment accross the street where breakfast is provided; you have to leave the Inn's property for a fairly stacked breakfast. Notice to letsbookhotel.com guest, ensure to arrive prior to checking-in time, otherwise expect to be stranded for a while. Shower head in the room was horrible. It was just barely usable. That is really the only irritation I had while we were there. The floor was sticky and dirty. The room was very warm and hard to cool. Room was dated: older bed, etc. Breakfast does not start until 8:30. The outside needs some fix-up. Cost. Lack of outlets for electronics. Air conditioner initial setup. the office closed at 5 pm. The keys were not in room, as said. The breakfast was nice, but no information and directions how to get there. Nothing. Rooms need up dated,and parking was hard to fine because of the mopeds parking there to. The only negative was the water pressure. That is the most commented on issue on all of the reviews that I've read. The worst breakfast I have ever seen!!! A/c sounds like jet plane.
