We had the "Pelican Suite" and is like a little house apart of the hotel, so we feel at home, independent exit gate, close to the breakfast island, and cozy table outside the room. I'm not a breakfast person so what you serve was perfect for The pool are was clean and great we had a good time. We will be back in the future. Location is great, 15 min walk from Mallory Square. The Egret room was super big, very comfy, feeling like home, in a colonial house with lush vegetation in the garden. The breakfast is all-you-can-eat and in the garden: lovely! The staff is friendly. Wifi access for free. We didn't have the time to experience the pool.
all reviews » We were in the Egret suite. You could close the pocket door and have two rooms. Couch was a day bed, so perfect for two older children. Nice location. Quiet neighborhood just two blocks off Duvall, two blocks to South Beach. Location was great, Old Key West home with lots of character. Stayed in little house next to the large house, and it had plenty of room for a crib. A charming bed and breakfast setting and room. Mini-kitchen and accommodating staff. Pleasant and relaxing sitting areas on grounds. We so enjoyed our stay on the pelican cottage. Very Private but still in the middle of all the fun. Would Definitely stay again. Within walking distance to major attractions and restaurants. Plenty of free parking. The old Key West style home and the cats. Being near the southernmost point. A romantic bed and breakfast hotel in a typical OLD wooden Key West house. The location is perfect, close to the beach, the southern most, and the main street of Key West. Everything Key West has to offer is in walking range of this hotel, and if you like you can even rent a bike at the hotel or across the street. I liked the location, very convenient, and also far enough away from the main area where it would be noisier. It is nice and quiet at night, very peaceful. I loved our room was separate from the main house. Lovely room. Friendly staff. The baby kittens. Location away from a lot of the traffic in Key West. Refridgerater. location, style. It's nice!. Just add a fan at the bathroom. There was nothing negative!. Upstairs with no elevator could be a problem for some. AC was off when we arrived, so it was a bit hot in the room. AC did cool room and it was nice for the rest of the stay. It was July in the Keys, so it is to be expected. lumpy mattress and window air-conditioners that were ineffective. Hot tub was not working. Egret mattress needed replacement. No contact with server at breakfast or room maid. Mattress a bit over bouncy. Breakfast was a disappointment. Was expecting a bit more than continental breakfast. Nothing.. Poor bedding and poor maid service. You will do some walking (if you choose to) if you are going to Duval St bars every night. A bike cab ride will cost you around $25 bucks $30 with tip one way. And if you get the end room next to the hot tub there is a chance you have to listen to people outside your room in the night. The breakfast is a bit on the simple side. The breakfast location, however, is really nice. The air-conditioning is just sufficient for the room but don't expect a huge temperature difference with respect to outside. Our sheets where dirty (hair and stains) and we asked to have them changed and they were not. The breakfast was not as it appeared on photos. The air conditioning was crappy. The bed wasn't that comfortable. Airconditioner noise made it impossible to sleep. Staff was unable to fix or replace. Alternate room was not offered. Considerable distance from major activity. Hot tub was cold.. no water or ice available. Small bathroom, dark interior, and poor lighting inside. overpriced, noisy AC, boiling jacouzi, had to check out at 11am, location is not 24 hours, but 19!.
