    I loved everything about my stay at Sylvern House, The owner was so friendly and helpful from start to end. Breakfast was amazing 3 courses and it was so filling and made me and my girlfriend ready for the day ahead! Neither of us had any problem with our room or any other part of the stay. Informative folder in the room full of useful information about the local area such as directions, things to do and restaurants etc. Well stocked tea tray in room and owners very welcoming, friendly and helpful.

    The building is beautiful with traditional decor and large stained glass window at the main stair case. The staff were really friendly and could not have been more helpful, providing everything from an annotated map to the city centre - without me asking for it, to menus for local restaurants. Lovely room , well dressed and furnished.En-suite more than roomy enough and fit for purpose, which isn't always the case with guest houses we've used in the past. Location is peaceful, and in a nice area. Pleasant and friendly staff could not be more helpful, and the breakfast sets you up for the day, truly a treat!! Private parking at the back of the house (free), is a bonus. We both rate Ascot House as being as good

    Lovely warm welcome, which continued throughout our stay of two nights. The room was spotless and had everything we needed for our short stay. The breakfasts were delicious and nothing too much trouble for our wonderful hosts.     This is probably the best bed and breakfast I have ever stayed in. The contemporary design and feel, v clean, luxury bathing products, very comfortable kingsize bed, toffees, jelly babies and organic fair trade teas, coffees & hot chocolate. Can't recommend highly enough - Beautiful decor friendly staff. Breakfast was great, the hotel is close to the town centre a short walk. There was ample parking. Free internet access was a bonus. The bedroom and bathroom were beautifully decorated. I would recommend this hotel. As a small hotel there is no lift so if you have mobility issues this may not be a suitable hotel for you.

    The apartment was absolutely spotless, everything you could think of was there, fluffy white towels, toiletries, tea/coffee/sugar & bottle of milk in fridge. Both rooms were spacious with a lovely double in the attic space with en suite bathroom. Kitchen was very modern with plenty of room. We will definitely be going back. - Although we booked a studio apartment we were surprised that there was a fair amount of space in the apartment itself. Plenty of crockery etc., and some tea bags, water and soft drinks which were a bonus. Ideal if you don't like the idea of having huge breakfasts at a B & B or hotel. We would definitely book these apartments again. Very central to the Town.

    Stayed here with my husband and a colleague as we were doing the Yorkshire Three Peaks challenge with my work colleagues. Location is excellent, about 15 - 20 minutes from Horton-in-Ribblesdale for the start of the challenge. We arrived Friday night after a very long drive and were greeted by very friendly and professional employees who got us sor... what people say » ted easily. Dinner was amazing, we all felt it was far superior to that which we had been expecting. We stay and eat in lovely places for work and I h - We stayed here for the weekend with friends for a walking break. We found the rooms to be comfortable and clean and the staff were very friendly who went out of their way to accommodate us. The food was excellent. My only 'complaint' was they ran out of the lamb which we were all looking forward to after walking 15 miles :o( However, we thoroughly enjoyed everything we chose. We would highly recommend The Plough to anyone who is thinking of staying there,

    We stayed over the August Bank Holiday weekend in a delightful room with a large bay window, two very comfy chairs and the most spectacular view over the North Bay. We appreciated the attention to detail in the room which included toiletries, well stocked hospitality tray, tea towel, plenty of hangers and lovely towels and bedding. This well established Guest House has been run by the owners for man - My cousin and I stayed 3 nights at the Wharncliffe and we loved everything we encountered - the proprietors were lovely, and their keenness when it came to security was a plus. There was ample choice of both hot and cold items in the delicious breakfasts. Everything had been chosen discerningly from the quality of the sausages and jams to the welcoming sweets/chocolates in the rooms on the hospitality tray. Our rooms were spacious and comfortable with superb views over the sea.

Andy and Tracy really leave no stone unturned in the pursuit of making sure the guests have everything they wish!
