    I loved everything about my stay at Sylvern House, The owner was so friendly and helpful from start to end. Breakfast was amazing 3 courses and it was so filling and made me and my girlfriend ready for the day ahead! Neither of us had any problem with our room or any other part of the stay.     The building is beautiful with traditional decor and large stained glass window at the main stair case. The staff were really friendly and could not have been more helpful, providing everything from an annotated map to the city centre - without me asking for it, to menus for local restaurants. The food was delicious and I was particularly impressed that they had a vegetarian hot breakfas - A warm sincere greeting by the owners on arrival set the tone for our stay. Lovely room , well dressed and furnished.En-suite more than roomy enough and fit for purpose, which isn't always the case with guest houses we've used in the past. Location is peaceful, and in a nice area. Pleasant and friendly staff could not be more helpful, and the breakfast sets you up for the day, truly a treat!! Private parking at the back of the house (free), is a bonus. We both rate Ascot House as being as good

    The apartment was absolutely spotless, everything you could think of was there, fluffy white towels, toiletries, tea/coffee/sugar & bottle of milk in fridge. Both rooms were spacious with a lovely double in the attic space with en suite bathroom. Kitchen was very modern with plenty of room. The living room had 2 big sofas, massive flat screen... what people say » tv & a lovely Big rug. The location was brilliant for Harrogate town centre - 5 minutes away on foot. We will definitely be going back. - Although we booked a studio apartment we were surprised that there was a fair amount of space in the apartment itself. Plenty of crockery etc., and some tea bags, water and soft drinks which were a bonus. Ideal if you don't like the idea of having huge breakfasts at a B & B or hotel. We would definitely book these apartments again. Very central to the Town.

    This apartment style Hotel is positively the best accommodation that as a Business Traveler I have ever had the pleasure of sampling. The wide doors, spacious rooms, well stocked kitchen made my stay perfect. This was my Companies first time to Whitby and it isn't going to be the last.     Perfect location for walking in the Dales, especially if you want to completely forget about wind/rain etc once you're done trekking. Food was excellent, good drinks selection and by far the nicest place to eat or drink in Settle backed up with great staff!     The owners of the hotel were first class in all departments. I would stay again without hesitation, as everything fit the bill for my requirements. The city was just a 15 minute walk, the location was quite and peaceful, the cooked breakfast was as good as I have had on my travels.     A lovely hotel with a relaxed atmosphere, nothing was too much trouble and a fantastic breakfast. The owners, Paul and Jenny Reynolds are incredibly focused.     Tony our host was most helpful and obliging, very "laid back" and even opening up the restaurant (on the monday when it is normally closed) for us and our family(who we were visiting in the area) the locals we found also very welcoming on the lunch time when we arrived. A very comfortable stay-(would stay again like some other guests we met who had done so) - Quiet location yet within easy 'striking distance' of A1. Friendly, helpful staff.
