    Beautiful hotel with a lovely view of the hillside, quiet location yet close to the city centre. The room was clean and comfortable, the staff friendly and helpful.     Everything. From the greeting at the door to reception to our bags beingplaced in the best room I have stayed in the uk. The service wasfabulous and the hotel was fantastic - will be returning - I travel an awful lot and I must say the Scotsman is one of the best hotels I have ever been in.     The rooms were nice and warm and very clean the room had a safe which was useful to keep and valuables room service was very prompt. A bus stop right in front of the hotel straight to town and to the airport number 12 26 and 31 all take you to Victoria street day pass costs £2.50 - The quality of accom was excellent and the price was just perfect f... what people say » or us.     Greeted at the door by staff member who took us to a very nice room with a large bathroom. We were asked if we would like a full Scottish breakfast (we had paid for a continental but were told we could choose). The Flat Screen TV is Free-view and with great reception. I must add, however, that there were problems.Like getting locked out at night, and first night we arrived, we onlygot a bedroom because another guest had changed rooms, and still had keyto the first room. Second night, locked out again, but managed to wakethe owner, it was just after midnight, but front door locked, and nostaff around.2 Other guests also locked out
