    All our requirements were catered for. Early morning cup of tea and an evening meal if we wished. The breakfast was excellant and varied from day to day. I loved the peace at the farmhouse yet it was only a few miles to Tavistock. We were made so welcome. I did indulge in ordering a cream tea! Will be back again. Lisa also had a menu of extra little items that you court order from if you were not up going out for dinner. I can highly recommend her home made pasties.

    The hotel is in a gorgeous old building in a quiet neighberhood a bit away from the city. It has the hallmarks of past elegance but is showing its age. However, for cyclist weary from a long day on the road, we loved its lack of pretension. We had a huge room with a gorgeous view over the river. Depending on weather, seating was either outside on a patio or inside full glass, but both were overlooking the garden and the river. It was - The location within yards of the South West Coastal Path. Main bus route at the end of the road. Just a short 1/2 mile walk along the path opposite the hotel to the centre of Bideford. Breakfast was very good, the staff were very friendly and accommodating. Cycle hire on the Tarka Trail in approx 1 mile away. The view from the bedroom and dining room over the fiver was superb.
