On the doorstep of the Dartmoor National Park, 17th-century Holdstrong Farmhouse is set in 16 acres of farmland, surrounded by woodland. Its food is local or home-grown where possible.
Furnished in vintage style and boasting lovely views across the valley, each traditional room also has a flat-screen TV. The rooms also all have a private bathroom, hairdryer and a seating area.

All our requirements were catered for. Early morning cup of tea and an
evening meal if we wished. The breakfast was excellant and varied from
day to day. I loved the peace at the farmhouse yet it was only a few
miles to Tavistock. We were made so welcome. I did indulge in ordering a
cream tea! Will be back again. Thank you.
Lisa, our host was very welcoming and provided a wonderful afternoon tea for us on our arrival. The rooms were quiet and very comfortable. Lisa also had a menu of extra little items that you court order from if you were not up going out for dinner. I can highly recommend her home made pasties.all reviews »
Beautiful old farmhouse - 17th century I believe. Lovely and quiet with great views of the countryside. Good access for walks on wonderful Dartmoor. Very nice places to eat within a short drive.

I basically liked everything about the venue itself. However, the small winding roads in that rural area are not for the faint hearted.

Supper was not really up to standard but was last minute.
Breakfast was a bit quirky good food but quirky.
Ketchup bottle on table and it was crusted over. Towels not changed in 5days, and toilet roll ran out with no spare.Given no key told not necessary and when returned because of bad weather door was locked and nobody at home!!!!!!.
