    The warm welcome from Francesca and her daughter Louise made our stay even more enjoyable. The room was excellent,and were treated with a lovely fresh fruit salad and a delicious cooked breakfast. Beautiful place to visit, to enjoy the peace and quiet of the countryside.     One of the best B&Bs we've ever stayed in. We received the warmest welcome from the hosts Debbie and Michael, who made us feel very comfortable and welcome throughout our stay. Lots of beautiful wood work everywhere with great attention to detail. We had our own decking and verandah with a gorgeous wildlife pond and private piece of garden which had been carefully tended to create a meadow effect.     The views at Beacon House are to die for, from our room, from the breakfast room and from the garden there are magnificent vistas of Brixham Harbour. Nigel was the perfect host with heaps of ideas and suggestions for our stay. A 10 minute walk down the hill and we were at the harbour and town centre, very convenient. In the three weeks we have been in B&B's around the uk t - The owners, Nigel and Amanda were so friendly and welcomed us both with a pot of tea and homemade flap jack to die for. Nothing was too much trouble. They are new to the area but have embraced Brixham and familiarised themselves with the local history and offer wonderful advice for restaurants and bars. The rooms were beautifully decorated, with everything clean and well maintained and I have never slept in a more comfortable bed. The sun shone in the morning and the views were truly fantastic.

    Jo and Will were very accommodating and couldn't have been morewelcoming. We were greeted and brought a tray of tea and cake, our roomwas very well equipped and comfortable. The breakfast was cooked freshlyevery morning and there was a good choice on the menu. They were really helpful and suggested some interesting places to visit. It was really nice to spend time there. Hotel is very comfortable and clean. Beautiful location, although the entry is tricky as you have to double-back from the road through two impressive pillars - but with better light it could be found more easily.     It could not be beaten by any small accomodation we have stayed in. A warm , friendly home from home. However re. the entrance up a steep outside steps this should be mentioned in the ad.( likewise similar properties).     My sister and I spent 4 wonderful nights at Howden House. Martin and Louise were excellent hosts and gave us advice about places to eat and visit. The bedroom was very well appointed with a fantastic view. The breakfasts were delicious. The views from the bedroom room windows(Wisteria Room)were amazing, a lovely spacious room with very comfortable beds. Lovely touches in the en-suite bathroom and wonderful homemade biscuits in the bedroom with tea and coffee facilities. A great breakfast in the morning. Wish we could have stayed longer.
