  everything was superb, I even booked one night extra. The personel is very friendly and professional, diner and breakfast are delicious, good and familiar atmosphere - This is a great hotel we had a room with a view of the harbour is was excellent, The breakfast and dinner were very good also.   The location was spectacular, very quiet and tranquil with the sea lapping just feet away. There was a very friendly welcome throughout our stay and nothing was too much trouble. The food was excellent and we were impressed that the hotel used local suppliers including Devon wines, real ales and locally caught fish. - Clovelly is incredible and ... what people say » the Red Lion is breathtaking as it sits on the harbor at the bottom of the hill. The staff was friendly and fantastic and accommodated us with a meal upon our arrival even though it was after the scheduled time. Definitely worth a visit and my family and I would be happy to return any time.

  What a gem of an hotel! It was clean, comfortable and easy to find. The staff were welcoming, freindly and extremely helpful. The food was excellent, but thei coffee could have been better.
