  This was a perfect break. The staff are such a friendly team and really go out of their way to make guests feel welcomed. The views out over the fells make you feel relaxed in the first 5 minutes. A tramp in the sun, a swim, a spell in the hot tub outside and then a good meal - what else could you want for your holiday? - Really enjoyed our st... what people say » ay, a very relaxing short break. Excellent facilities, large car park, secure bike storage. Food plain, but large portions great if you've been walking or cycling. Apartment larger than expected. Staff couldn't have been more helpful.

  The room was quirky inasmuch that it was on two levels with a beautiful refurbished bathroom, a dressing table area and wardrobe, then up four stairs to the bedroom and sitting area. Nothing was lacking in facilities. THe restaurant and bar areas were always busy and popular with walkers and visitors to the area. The food and service by the restau... what people say » rant staff was excellent, nothing was too much trouble. Reception staff were extremely helpful and knowledgeable. I shall definitely stay at Wateredg - The Wateredge Inn is in a wonderful location right on the lake. The views out to the boats bobbing on the lake were lovely. The room was nicely decorated and comfortable as was the bathroom. The inns lounge and dining areas were very nice, with again a beautiful outlook. The two Scottish sisters who waited on us for breakfast were lovely and friendly as was Ryan the bar man. The countryside around Ambleside was really beautiful and well worth a longer visit.

  I liked how swiftly the staff responded to a problem. Brilliant. Helpfuland kind. I can see the price of this hotel going up to match thequality of the service - We stayed in the cottage, it was very large for 5poeple and homely great facilities and garden. Lovely staff

  The hotel has a vibrant atmosphere generated by the design and the very friendly staff.The location was just what we wanted providing local pubs and restaurants whilst in the centre of lovely scenery and places to visit.We would visit again and infactr booked our son and his girlfriend in for a birthday weekend.We would go back again and ask to st... what people say » ay in room 3 only because we peeped in and it was more modern. - Very Dog friendly, very welcoming and attentive to all of our needs. Tea and cake in the afternoon of our arrival was a nice touch. Central location made it handy for shops, high level of cleanliness and top spec furniture and fittings. Good beer!

  Excellent location. The apartment was very well equiped and the ownermade us feel very welcome. Although we stayed there in summer it wasquite cold and wet but heating was available all day if we wanted touse it.
